Re: The F1 thread

I agree. It's sad, but they just don't have the money of the manufacturer teams, so barring any successful attempts at limiting a team's spending (which is something being talked about, but that seems impractical), they're not going to be returning to the front of the grid.

Re: The F1 thread

See, I wouldn't have said the same thing was true of Williams or Renault. They remember their success, sure, but they don't try to rub it in your face like McLaren have done these last few years. I think the choice of spokesperson here is pretty key; Ron Dennis replaced Martin Whitmarsh, one of the ...

Re: The F1 thread

The only way I see Alonso returning to F1 is if a seat at one of the top teams opens, one that would give him a reasonable chance at winning the drivers' championship. I don't think he's there for participation trophies, he's there to win. And McLaren? I thoroughly lost interest in them when Ron Den...

Re: The F1 thread

I almost guarantee he'll end up at the Indy 500 again next year. He already has the Monaco Grand Prix and Le Mans 24 Hours races under his belt, he may as well go for the triple crown. I think he wants *something* to put him in the history books after, let's be honest, a frequently disappointing F1 ...

Re: The F1 thread

A shame, but the only real surprise is that he didn't do this two or three years ago. With the benefit of hindsight, he's made one bad career move after another while watching the likes of Hamilton and Vettel make ones that turned out to be extremely well timed. I still think he's probably the best ...

Re: DOOM: Eternal [PC, PS4, Switch, XBone] - 2019?

I can happily do without mods if Eternal is of the same quality as Doom was. I don't think any TES or Fallout game will survive anywhere near as well without full mod support.

Yeah I need to look into that. Currently it scrapes the entire content of the review section. I might just leave it as it is and edit them down myself in future.
I didn't actually realise it was automated.

Re: [Review] We Happy Few Review

I can't say I'm too surprised; this was a real standout from its E3 reveal, but as soon as it was revealed to be another survival game, it lost much of its appeal. It's been one of Jim Sterling's favourites, as it went from Kickstarter funded to $30 early access title to giant publisher-backed $60 A...

Re: RAGE 2 [PC, PS4, XBone] - Spring 2019

iD tech 5 was used in Wolfenstein: The New Order and OId Blood, and The Evil Within. A version of it was used for Dishonoured 2 and Death of the Outsider.

Re: DOOM: Eternal [PC, PS4, Switch, XBone] - 2019?

Not sure if it came across from that first post, I'm quite excited for it too. I am however trying not to get too excited, partially because buying into hype only ever leads to disappointment, but also because I'm just not sure about some of the elements they showed off. I quite like the idea of an ...

Re: RAGE 2 [PC, PS4, XBone] - Spring 2019

Urgh; I really want to get excited by this, but it just feels like it's trying too hard to be "insane" while taking itself a bit too seriously. That's an awful trailer too, particularly when you compare it to Doom: Eternal from the same conference - it's nothing but quick cuts to try and show off so...

You don't have to continually shoot them in the groin you know. ;)
Indeed, now you can shove your wrist blade into their groins too.

This is my first time accessing the forum on mobile, and I must say it's infinitely better than Preys World ever was. You can read things without having to zoom in and everything.
