McMillions (Sky Documentaries)

A 6 part documentary about the 1990s fraud of the McDonald's monopoly game. It's pretty good but it's an episode too long.

Recommend if you want to see something funny and different.

New Castlevania is very good. A fitting end to the show I think.

I have not seen it yet but I just read that Netflix have pulled the plug. Another show in the same universe has just got the green light.

Netflix have had form in pulling the plug. The only other studio who are keen to kill projects that I know of is the BBC. I have vested interest in so many shows that have been cancelled early.

Which? Castelvania? It just wrapped up nice and neatly, doubt there would ever have been a next season.

I still mourn the loss of Whitechapel. My wife introduced me to it, knowing it was cancelled early without a resolution. Nearly had to divorce over that one!

And that's the story of why I'm not allowed near pregnant women for the next few weeks.

It is Castelvania. The source is SFX.

Nah. I'm not sure what their wording is as I couldn't find it online, but my guess is they've taken "Netflix announces Castlevania comes to an end" and taken the clickbaity line that it's been cancelled. It's reached a natural conclusion at the end of season 4 with everything wrapped up neatly. When you watch it you'll see.

It's nothing like other series they've cancelled like GLOW or Santa Clarita Diet both of which were cut before they got resolved (and which I'm still bitter about). Netflix is definitely annoying in cancelling shows after a couple or few series, but imho it doesn't apply in this case.

OK - good to hear. It was from the mag. I get it as part of the Readly subscription

I started on Rick and Morty - it is excellent as everyone says. Let me complete season 1 of R&M and I start on Castel...

Still have the last 2 episodes of Invicible to get through

Then get your ass watching Dark if you already haven't. Then Resident Alien, Final Space and the first few seasons of Archer while your at it.

I think Castlevania was always planned as a four season arc, but Netflix have parted ways with the writer due to the allegations against him. I assume had they not come to light then they'd have been more open to working with him for the spin off shows. As it stands now, any more shows set in the Castlevania world will be head up by a new creative team.

Warren Ellis, quite a few woman accused him of trying to groom them online. I think Netflix sacked him before season 4 was produced but he'd already written it so they used his scripts.

It doesn't seem like they're accusing him of doing anything illegal, but damn it's sleazy as hell:
Now, more than 60 women have come together to launch the website So Many of Us, to document their concurrent relationships with Ellis and encourage others to come forward. They allege that Ellis has pursued sexual relationships with a staggering number of his female fans, all the while deceiving them about the number of relationships he was in; based on the account of these women, it appears he was maintaining at least 19 relationships simultaneously at one point in 2009.
