Re: Star Wars The Rise Of Skywalker - the last film in the saga

Hard to really glean much from the trailer apart from all the big set pieces. Clearly Abrams is keen to reel in the Game of Thrones fans, can't really think of why else he'd write something as stupid as a Dothraki cavalry charge on top of a star ship in space. I noticed that Kylo has his mask back o...

No worries, I've been sent off on work and likely won't be around for most of the week now anyway.

A lot of live chats nowadays are just bots. They're typically useless unless you have a very specific problem that you can accurately describe so it directs you to the right phone helpline.

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

I'm not really sure what else to add for flavour so I think just making a reskinned teleportation helm would be a fun start, I'd just make it as a ring.

Re: The Outer Worlds - PC, PS4, X1, Switch 2019

I haven't really understood the hype for this either. It looks generic as hell. A big part of it is that it is Obsidian doing a game that is similar to Fallout NV. I can understand people being reticent but I don't think it looks generic, there are very few games out there that looks like this does...

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Likewise. None of the other feats really fit my characters theme so I went for a straight up wisdom increase. From looking up the sale value of the jugs contents, assuming I sold everything at say half the price you'd pay in stores, I could feasibly sell 2 vials of acid to make 24 gold a day! Would ...

Re: The Humble Bundle, Weekly & Store Deals Thread

Neat idea but the prices are pretty high in comparison to what the Monthly sub offers. I paused a lot of months on my subscription this year and I bet the same option won't be available with the new system, or it'll make you lose the old pricing if you do.

So that's 2.1% poorer over 15 years with May's deal to 6.7% with Boris'.

And Labour rebels look set to vote for this.

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Going by the basic rules for minimum levels, the most I could make right now would be a rare item costing 5000gp. And looking at the item list, that would be something like the helm of teleportation. So I'd probably aim for something similar unless we could modify characteristics and spells a bit to...

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

On the matter of training out of hours or studying etc. that was briefly mentioned in the session. Would it be possible for Sage to study his books on teleportation, scrying and planar travel over a period of time in order to then spend more time and resources crafting a relevant magical item? I've ...

I'm pretty sure that to get something out of a bag of holding you have to know it's in there and mentally will it into your hands. So the excuse that you didn't expect to find a body in there really doesn't fly.

Still good. Though it'd be handy if we could only run until half 9 tonight as I've got a very early start tomorrow.

Re: Ghost Recon: Breakpoint

Interesting you should mention the RPG lite mechanics that Ubisoft seem to be cramming into every single game they make, Ian. I'm just finishing off AC Origins and have found the changes over the original format to make the game a fair bit more interesting. Watching clips for Odyssey though and it s...

Abandoned.

It was clearly unworkable in the first place, but at least they've come to terms with that rather than enforcing a ridiculous system.
