Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Think I'll be a bit hard pressed for tomorrow as I'm still experiencing lumbar puncture side effects, getting the throbbing headache whenever I'm not lying horizontal.

I can sit up or walk around for about 10 minutes at a time before the fluid drains and the headache kicks in.

Re: Skyrim Composer and Night in the Woods Dev Accused of Rape

That may have something to do with my office environment too as there's almost 200 people on my floor and nation wide it's a very big department. Just to be clear Ian and Alan, I was only hazarding a guess that any measurable statistics might put incidents like this more within older generations. I ...

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 [PC, PS4, XBone] - out September 17 2020

It probably makes more sense within the context of the original statement, but on its own I don't think it's saying that all. You're inferring a lot from a little. It reads to me that they're essentially saying that they don't want the creative team distracted by having to work around whatever argum...

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 [PC, PS4, XBone] - out September 17 2020

I'm not even sure what either of those quotes are even meant to mean when presented like that without any context at all.

Aren't they essentially simply saying that they don't want to cause any arguments to avoid having to spend resources on managing it?

Re: Watch_Dogs Legion/3 [PC, PS4, XBone]: In London?!

I don't think Watch Dogs has ever been fun. I bounced right off the first game despite the concept being so interesting at the time. The only reason I'd be even slightly tempted to pick this up is for the novelty of exploring a modern day recreation of London. The fact that all the NPCs seem to be c...

Re: Skyrim Composer and Night in the Woods Dev Accused of Rape

I used to feel the same but I've worked with people like that now and it isn't surprising anymore when you consider their mindset. I was pulled into a management wide bollocking a year or two ago because some of the older managers had been consistently harassing the younger and junior female staff. ...

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

I've been having explosive tension headaches the last couple of days so I had to go for a CT scan and lumbar puncture. The junior doctor messed up the first puncture and it was agonising but I've had the most senior chap come to administer the second attempt which was far more comfortable. Just wait...

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Sorry to do this guys but I think I'm going to have to pull out of tonight. I've had to go to A&E and I'm not sure what time I'll be out.

I don't disagree with the premise behind the letter, because I think cancel culture is wrong. But it seems to me that JK Rowling simply can't handle the fact that her transphobic comments have made people want to distance themselves and not affiliate with her.

Re: Halo: The Master Chief Collection [PC]

I think those couple of years were an absolute golden age for console releases. I called in sick at college to go to the shop at opening time and spent the entire day playing Halo 3 with my friend. I liked 2 a lot but it was questionable at times. I recall being absolutely blown away by 3 and how am...

I'll probably pick it up when 3 comes out. I'm looking forward to co-oping the campaigns in order.

Re: The Big Steam Bargains Thread

I picked up some old stuff off the wishlist; Chroma Squad, Stasis, Deadbolt and Seven. Cost me £13 in total, pretty great discounts on a lot of them.

Re: High Streets Woes - part II

Or wait until they go under and get everything on clearance. City high streets have been on their arse for years thanks to rents/rates and so much going online. I've seen a lot of 'ghost towns' in more rural areas where entire high streets have been boarded up. Can't imagine what that would feel lik...
