Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

I'd echo those opinions to be fair. Whilst the later seasons aren't quite the same standard as the first three, I still thoroughly enjoyed it right up to the end. I think the main downside is that the final season continues to build a number of story arcs and is very high quality but then it's wrapp...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Finally got caught up and finished the final season of The Expanse today. Man, what a crummy end to an otherwise amazing show. Amazon really did it dirty by rushing towards that ending and not even funding a full length final season. The last episode still felt like there was so much to unpack and d...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange

I don't doubt that Trump will probably do absolutely nothing to help the regular working American given the policy platform he's likely to enact, but the narrative that Biden did a good job with the economy is misleading because a lot of American's aren't seeing the results of that in their salaries...

Re: General Gaming News

His way of story telling certainly isn't for everyone. I think he's over egged the writing a bit for his last few releases.

You can repair the roads and get both bikes and delivery vans later in the game. Plus cool zip wires for the mountain areas.

Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder

If Jontu isn't too exasperated to watch, he'll see Opus tear out the first page and stuff it in his mouth as he leaves, chewing happily. I'm going to regret teaching Opus that eating books is the key to digesting the contents when we find a really important ancient tome at some point and he i...

Re: General Gaming News

I think you have to be in the right frame of mind for it to click. It's a good game to play if you just want something quiet and introspective to enjoy. The inventory system seems like a bit of a nightmare at first but if you just press the button to optimise your packages every time you pick new th...

Re: General Gaming News

It's an incredible game when it clicks. The story gets rather whacky and makes no sense until the end but I was absolutely gripped by the chilled out delivery gameplay throughout the entire game.

One of the most unique games I've ever played for sure. Such a nice vibe to it.

Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder

Very cool.

When I spoke to him, was I able to discern where Sage factored into all of this at all? As far as I could tell does he at least still exist somewhere, now, within this far flung new future universe?

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange

I think his victory this time is much more bleak for the rest of the world. He threatens to seriously undermine security in Europe with his attitude towards NATO, and if he further strengthens Putin's hand in Ukraine then the outlook for the war is really not good, which further threatens the rest o...

Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder

Isn't that something you could potentially pre-cast if we're going into an encounter where you think there's a possibility of charms being fired off? I'm not sure whether the counter ability works a bit like the protection from good and evil where it just stays active for a period or time or if you ...

I'm sure I saw on one of his vlogs a while ago that he had three projects in the pipeline with Powernerd, The Moth and then some other really heavy album which I can't remember the project title of. I reckon Powernerd will be pretty decent when the whole album drops. Jainism is a solid single that g...

I expect the latter. Facing the media shit storm head on will get them enough press that I'm sure more people will fall for their next scam just by the sheer amount of extra traffic their page will be getting.

Re: Currently Playing

Ghost of Tsushima Bit of a coincidence that the sequel has been announced this week, but I've been playing through the first game over the last couple of weeks and really enjoying it. The combat really flows when you've unlocked a few skills and has yet to become monotonous, likewise with the explo...

Re: General Gaming News

I don't think a few months extra 'polish' is going to save them from releasing what I'm sure will ultimately be a very similar game to all of the other ones in the series. I think people are just generally burnt out on Ubisoft games. The formula is done to death now.
