Re: The 'I Just Bought' Thread - Technology Edition

The feature where you hold your hand over one of the ear cups and it reverses the cancellation so that everything is amplified around you is a really useful little extra. No more pausing music or taking headphones off to hear when people are speaking.

I'd stick it on some social media platform as well if the legal route doesn't work out. Companies hate bad publicity.

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

To reiterate previous points already made because I'm flying with them today, Ryanair really are shit. It's bad enough that they won't let me check in until 48 hours before the flight without paying extra for a seat. But when I look at the list of available spaces and most of the seats on the plane ...

Re: The 'I Just Bought' Thread - Technology Edition

RRP was 330, currently 270 on Amazon and 250 if you feel like checking in through Stansted airport departures. :P

Re: The 'I Just Bought' Thread - Technology Edition

The best thing is that they were twenty quid cheaper than what Amazon are currently doing them for. I walked out thinking that I'd just been stupid for letting myself pay airport prices and being diddled but was very happy to find I was quids in. They are so comfy it almost feelings like I'm not eve...

Re: The 'I Just Bought' Thread - Technology Edition

Picked up a pair of these bad boys on a whim at the airport after having read a few reviews. They are truly excellent. Some of the best noise cancelling headphones I've ever used, and so comfy. The sound quality is super punchy too. https://www.sony.com/image/a3bfc42e96ae057f8520f6ce9af1c17f?fmt=png...

I could eat mushrooms with every meal. I used to hate them but one day the flavour just clicked with me and now I can't get enough.

I'm not divided on seasons either like most are. Spring I can take or leave, but summer, autumn and winter all have their boons that I really enjoy.

Re: \m/ Metal \m/

Pneuma and Descending are the best two tracks on the new album I reckon. The guitar work at the end of Descending is just excellent.

Re: Currently Playing

I've been playing Monster Hunter World on PC after having bounced off the Generations X Switch game. Oh boy is this so much more fun. I met up with Capcom yesterday, the analyst guy said they got some amazing feedback from the community I think World offers a much easier way into the series. Genera...

Re: The Elephant in the Room - Brexit

There's no way that is the extent of the Government's analysis. One line devoted to the Irish border? Six pages total?

I've had to write risk assessments for the welfare of new staff at work longer than what they released today!

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

Don't assume that I don't have empathy for both sides of the story, I grew up in one of those touted 'left behind' towns and fully appreciate the economic strife that poorer people go through. What I am specifically referring to are comments like "food shortages will be good because it will make peo...

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

I'm going to add Daily Mail readers to this list because, as much of a laugh as they provide when I read their comments, some of the stuff they're coming out with about this Op Yellowhammer release just beggars belief. It is so painful to know that we share this country with people who have absolute...

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Just checking to see whether I can learn polymorph too. -_- The beast list that you can pick from is relatively limited so it's not massively easy to abuse. That was a really fun session. Happy that I actually got to use the actor feat that I took so many levels ago for something constructive rather...

Re: The Elephant in the Room - Brexit

All things going well, the EU grants an extension to avoid No Deal which is currently rumoured to be likely in Brussels, then when Johnson comes back the opposition triggers a VONC and we have an election. Of course given Johnson's consistent refusal to obey the recently passed law that requires him...
