Re: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
Also put in about an hour, enjoying it so far, took down the first bloodsucker you meet at the research station, mainly through running around wildly, firing indiscriminately and then huddling in a corner trying to use healing kits before it could kill me first  Animal, could be worth switching...

Re: Currently Playing
Shadow Gambit Finally getting round to this and its great! I always play these games with a controller and something feels off about camera control but nothing major. My only negative so far is the big stupid save reminder bell, its very obnoxious. Everything else is just great! Setting wise it is ...

Also: https://www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/stalker-2-review/ 83% It's excellent, and undoubtedly my personal game of the year, but here comes the caveat. I meant what I said: Stalker 2 is Stalker to the bone, and that means the bad stuff too. There were errors, crashes, progress-halting bugs and at-tim...

Not read it yet, but the opening of the RPS review sounds like it's a great game but currently exceedingly buggy.

Well that's alright because the XBox app doesn't let you sodding pre-load anything except for a 10mb license file. Given the frequent crapshoot that is any app produced by Microsoft, I had to search Google to ask whether this was working as intended. Surprise, it is! I guess it just means I'll have...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
It's simply one of the best sci-fi shows ever made, highly recommended viewing.
As for the books, I read the first few but petered out a little bit after that, they're good but after a few novels I needed a bit of a change in my reading and haven't returned to them yet (though I plan to)

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
They were joking on the Daily Show that the Democrats should just confirm all of these positions as a policy of "fuck around and find out". I don't really get the logic here; why is he picking dangerously unqualified people for top jobs? It almost feels like there ought to be an angle, some scheme ...

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan
Oh god, tell me about it. My last trip to the surgery, I had to speed-walk in because the bus never turned up, so I was boiling hot and out of breath when I got there, and inevitably the waiting room was roasting hot. Nothing makes a phsyical examination more unpleasant than being a sweaty mess whi...

To the final point, yes absolutely lol.
As for the neck issue, could it be nerve pain, the fact a change in position bring immediate relief makes me wonder if something is impinging on it in your usual sitting position...

Re: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
I'd definitely give Call of Pripyat a go Raid if you've never played one before, I think it's held up pretty well and is kind of a 'greatest hits' of the other games without some of the idiosyncracies that make the first couple of games a more difficult recommendation (though I enjoyed them a lot at...

If Jontu isn't too exasperated to watch, he'll see Opus tear out the first page and stuff it in his mouth as he leaves, chewing happily. I'm going to regret teaching Opus that eating books is the key to digesting the contents when we find a really important ancient tome at some point and he i...

Probably won't like it but I'll give it a punt. It was on GamePass a while back, although it looks like it's not there ...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
Alien Romulus Hey, remember that classic scene from another alien you liked? What if we were to recreate that, that would make it great yeah? It has some good (sometimes very very silly) original ideas but the constant “remember when Riley stood like that? Isn’t she like Riley?” “Remember when Rile...

Right, downtime activities ahoy! Each player has their own section with a roll or response required - I've put them in spoiler tags just for space reasons, so feel free to read them all if you want.
