Ha, yes, I must confess to stopping and gazing up at the ghost moon this morning for a few moments on the school run.

I point it out to the children, who are less impressed it has to be said -_-

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

Okay, thanks eny -- I think I understand that slightly better now. I can't even begin to fathom why anyone's own experience of a game would be "tainted" by the way other people play it. Weird. What is "storymode", though? I have never heard of that before. Also, what does "my mentions" mean? :? I'm...

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

That's ok, it was already going to be a bit of a challenge for me to make it as various stuff going on here. I didn't want to cancel because of it, but freeing up the evening will be quite handy.

We had the pleasure of seeing Bill Bailey do a live set at our local theatre during his tour a year or two ago, was hilarious.

Of all the unimaginable terrors we've unleashed on Faerun during our brief but eventful spell as an heroic troupe, Jeff is certainly my favourite.

And I'm not sure why but I've a funny feeling he'll do a better job of saving the world than we will.

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Here's an example of a roll20 map from a while back when the party incited the townsfolk of Phandalin to summarily hang their Townmaster: https://i.imgur.com/OL6asmr.png While it might not be apparent from the players logged in at that moment, I'd like to state for the record that wasn't my idea :l...

Interesting. Is there an official TGA Discord, or is this one you have set up for D&D?
Yeah, it's a TGA Discord, and we have a little sub-group off of that for the D&D.

Sorry to BARGE IN, guys, but are you doing some kind of communal audio-video meetup to play these sessions?
Audio yes, via Discord, and visual in the sense that we use a website to look at interactive maps of the areas we're questing in (organised by WB). It's a pretty good setup, enjoying it.

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

I suspect Raid has got stuck into some serious tongue-depressor business, but I'll hang around for a while and see.

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

As some will have noted from a couple of recent game release threads, I'm not keen on a style of writing currently prevalent on RPS notably. And there's another one here today: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2019/09/18/rebel-cops-review/ A different writer, but the same conceit of "humorously" cha...

Disco Elysium - detective RPG out Oct 15th

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person around these parts who has this on their radar. It sounds really interesting, an open-world RPG where you play a detective and your background and attributes will have a huge effect on how quests and encounters play out: “This game has layers. Peel another one...

I believe I also asked the (already well out of earshot) driver what the [expletive deleted] she thought she was doing.

Yeah, taking a photo probably would have been a better idea at that point :-k
