Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
I was so annoyed at the stupidity of what he said I looked up the stats. The proportion of the Muslim population of the UK is a whopping... 6%.
In terms of actual figures, the number of Muslims living in the UK and the US is virtually identical (3.8m to 3.5m).

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
I'll be honest, I don't think even Trump would be ballsy - or crazy - enough to put a rifle into the hands of an untrained 20yo and tell him to shoot at a small object within several feet of his head.

Re: Xbox & Microsoft News/Discussion
At this point I'm basically keeping Disney+ because of the kids and GamePass because they like playing Minecraft with their friends. I do occasionally play a GP game but it's become quite rare, enough so that when they lose interest in Minecraft I'll let my sub lapse and just buy a month here and th...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
It took me a while to warm to Andor. So much so that I took about a six-month break between the second episode and the third . But when I went back to it determined to watch the rest, because of all the acclaim, by about episode 4 it all clicked for me and after that I thought it was excellent....

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
Well, I think his point with the episode length is that it isn't fast or intense. And that chopping the story into such short chunks is a cynical way of trying to get people to keep up their Disney+ subscription for longer.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
So this guy reviews the Acolyte but doesn't engage with any of the culture war/wokism stuff, instead concentrating on the writing, characters etc. Fair criticism?

Damn, I was intending to see that at some point as a fan of Hardy, but after that will probably just wait until it's on Prime or something :/

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
Rick & Morty redeemed itself after a few episodes, couple of great ones in there. The Boys S4 Had to re-watch the last episode of season 3 as I had completely forgotten everything. Watched the first of new season and it's business as usual, exploding heads and entertaining sociopaths. The actors wh...

Re: The Absolute State Of It - It's The UK Politics Thread!
I'm glad that Reform won less than a third of the seats the exit poll had suggested, hopefully the number of votes they did get is less an endorsement of their views and pro-Farage than it is a protest against the Tories by traditional Tory voters, who nonetheless couldn't bring themselves to vote L...
