Re: Goodbye Zero Punctuation

While Zero Punctuation hasn't really been relevant to a lot of us for a long time now, I know most of us would agree that Yahtzee's own quick-fire gaming review series almost never missed their mark, and it is sad to see that all come to an end. I got pretty tired of it a while back to be honest. T...

Re: Currently Playing

Cocoon Completed this a few weeks back but forgot to post about it here. A really smart puzzle game with some very well designed puzzles that manages to provide a challenge that doesn't frustrate, instead it makes you feel smart ever time you figure out the solution. One of the best puzzle games I ...

The recommended specs for 1080p are a 12600k, RTX 3080 and 16GB RAM. For 1080p! That's mental.

I'm tempted by the game, but I'll be waiting for some hands-on analysis before buying.
Lol that's incredible. It's coming to Game Pass so if you have that you can try it there.

Re: Currently Playing

Lamplighters League Played the first tutorial mission of Lamplighters League, hasn't made a great first impression. The stealth stuff feels clunky with characters not always going where you want as the grid system only comes into play when you are in tactical mode. Additionally the way you move peo...

Re: Upgrade Time

In terms of performance for the 4060ti and the 3060 ti, the 4060ti beats out the 3060ti but it's not a huge jump. You are basically paying for DLSS3.5 support with a 40 series card and much better power usage. The issue is the 4060ti is limited in terms of memory as it's only 8GB which is going to b...

Re: Xbox & Microsoft News/Discussion

The thing that strikes me as different is that Sony cultivated those studios for a long time to the point that when they were acquired a lot of people went “wait, they didn’t own them already?”. They didn’t feel like they were taking anything away from MS since 99% of those studios releases were on...

Re: Xbox & Microsoft News/Discussion

I don't think Sony have fallen behind this generation with their exclusives at all. They've utterly blown Microsoft away again which is why Microsoft are just trying to buy up already established franchises and studios to try and plug the gap. Microsoft have released absolutely nothing of note this...

Re: Xbox & Microsoft News/Discussion

I think the idea that Microsoft doesn't have the exclusives compared to Sony is a tired argument as to why they fell behind this generation. Sony's output has been just as paltry at times as Microsoft, this year they have had FFXVI and a few VR titles. Both companies have struggled to get a consiste...

Re: Starfield has a release date

I've not had issues with the NPCs I talk to but the followers are as bad as ever, made funny when they pop into the conversation and they are on the floor below so you just get a shot of the ground instead of their character model.

Re: Starfield has a release date

Ahh yeah I am. In terms of Freespace I think there is even less for Bethesda to take from that, as they are not making that type of game at all.

Re: General Gaming News

You do have to wonder if this was the plan all along, and they're changing from an extremely unpalatable option to one that's still unpalatable, but in saying they've "listened to feedback" it makes the unpalatable option seem more reasonable. It just seems odd that two games companies (albeit diff...

Re: Starfield has a release date

The thing is, Freespace made a cracking space game that wasn't the least bit boring, full of stuff to do, and honestly needs a line-by-line reboot into a next-gen gaming engine. I know it wasn't a galaxy full of stars, and no "planetary exploration," but still Bethesda could have taken a few tips f...

Re: Starfield has a release date

with absolutely nothing of value to discover on a big chunk of it? I mean that's space basically and is the issue at the core of any space exploration game, but I don't plan to spend a lot of time walking across planets no. Most the time I will visit the point on the planet I have set out to go to ...

Re: Starfield has a release date

On a planet I saw a ship landing in the distance, so decided to go and see if there was anything there. Firstly, I agree with the comment someone made about the game needing vehicles for planetary travel, as it's exceedingly dull to run and jet for entire kilometres. I passed a few points of intere...
