Backpack Battles A really fun inventory management autobattler. I played a fair bit of the demo last year and was looking forward to seeing what they added for the Early Access release and it was a fair amount. There are two extra classes and a ton of new items. I do love a good autobattler, I put ...

Re: General Gaming News

Yeah, open world games when done right are fine, they're not to blame for anything. There's a massive demand for them, a lot of gamers prefer them to shorter, linear, story-lead games. Or at the very least want to experience them along side each other. They used to be priced very reasonably on PC t...

Re: General Gaming News

Open world games have a lot to answer for and are I think one of the main drivers behind the increase in the cost of games. It you are not spending masses of resources on making a huge open world you are trying to fill your game with loads of things to do in order to compete in terms of bang for buc...

The ever growing trend of just laying off hundreds of staff rather than maybe the higher ups taking a pay cut. I wonder what the Star Wars FPS was going to be.
Rumoured to have been a Respawn Mandalorian game.

I assumed it was for PC as well. That's a shame.
There is still an exclusive arrangement with the Epic Store on PC, so Microsoft couldn't have it on PC. It's possible that it arrives on PC Game Pass when that exclusivity expires on the 22 April.

Re: Currently Playing

Balatro I've been waiting for this poker based roguelike for a while as I really enjoyed the demo. Ended up playing for a few hours last night and really enjoyed it. First run I managed to get a win but subsequent ones didn't quite work out as I struggle to build synergies into the deck. It's going...

Re: Skull & Bones PC

I always felt the sailing stuff was a bit overrated personally but I had my own issues with the game in general as I missed the move away from the city being the main character and I didn't think the sailing stuff made up for that. It wasn't like Origin and Odyssey which managed to create a new temp...

Re: Currently Playing

Elex II Thought I would boot this up as I have been hankering for a RPG in this kind of style, so far it's been a bit disappointing. I really enjoyed the first game, I thought the interplay between the various factions was interesting and the story was fairly well told. This time they are kind of t...
