Re: Trump

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" And then have some nec...

Re: Trump

It is impressive how he consistently finds new ways to be a terrible person.

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Good stuff! Just remembered I said I'd post a list of all the items you found: In the north room (Sage): - A bag of holding - Books on planar travel, teleportation magic and scrying - A scroll of contact other plane - Two scrolls of planar binding - A potion of greater healing (4d4 + 4 healing) - So...

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Assuming Raid's okay for Wednesday, we'll go with that.

Could be a day of D&D overload, as I'm starting a D&D game at work on Wednesday lunchtime. Eventually my head will morph into an oversized D20 and I'll only be able to communicate in dice rolls.

Re: The F1 thread

I don't think it is so much Vettel getting worse, he's always been liable to the odd mistake, it's just when he first came into the sport he was in the best car so mistakes were mitigated by the fact he was winning a lot of races. Now when he isn't winning races the mistakes look a lot worse. Yeah,...

Re: The F1 thread

Good race, that, but once again the win is decided by the victor pitting under the safety car. I really think the sport could do with figuring out a way to stop that from happening. Bottas did everything right this week, and he even fought hard to retain the lead, and to lose the race (or at least ...

Re: Tabletop Games

 I thought that might have been what triggered the fraud check, but they were more interested in $1.50 going out to Patreon. Most of the unpacking time was due to there being around 30 cardboard sheets with tokens that needed popping out. Supposedly the rules aren't that hard to follow once you...

Re: Tabletop Games

Yeah, it looks like it could be good, but I went for the physical version as I want to delve straight into the campaign, and that's not going to be available in early access. Chances are that I'll end up getting it anyway. Not had chance to play any of Gloomhaven yet, but I did spent about 90...

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

The recap: The giant rose to its feet quickly and angrily, having been woken by Truss causing a ruckus. As it gathered its bearings, it averted its gaze from the party stood by the mirrored door and asked: "Password...?" Taken by surprise, the Unmentionables insisted that of course they knew the pas...

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

 There was no way that button was not being pushed eventually. PS - The question about whether vampires have souls in D&D appears to be a point of substantial debate, delving into what constitutes a soul, the manner of death, the nature of morality, the method in which a soul is owned or retain...

That was shit. Worst marvel film in ages. Bored senseless.
I've not bothered to go see it yet, which is strange considering how much of a self-confessed MCU fanboy I am and how much I enjoyed Homecoming. It's too soon after Captain Marvel and Endgame.

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

Netflix's auto-trailer shite is infuriating. I have to mute the TV while I'm browsing now because I can't hear myself think with it blaring out crap about stuff I'm never going to watch (or worse, spoiling stuff I do want to watch).

Re: Tabletop Games

Good shout, sounds exactly like my sort of thing.

EDIT - I've caved and bought Gloomhaven after watching many rave reviews. This may be borderline lunacy - the box apparently weighs 20lbs.
