Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

I’m waiting for you to glue the Nine Hells to the Abyss, just to see what happens. :-k

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Is the Lucky feat allowed in this campaign? I know some people consider it a bit too strong and prefer it isn't used. Can't really see any other feats worth having so it's between Lucky or just pumping my stats into my constitution this level. I’m fine with it. It is a bit OP, but I think balance h...

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

So, on the mechanics of mystical adhesion: If I've, say, glued two items that require attunement together, and D&D Beyond only allows you to attune to three items at once, are you ok with me swapping my attuned items out mid-battle to, say, cast fireball with my staff? Given that they’re all spells...

Re: The Covid-19 Thread

We had an archery range in my second year kitchen. Student wits were not in strong supply back then, and I suspect the same may be true now.

Re: The Covid-19 Thread

If the current crop of students are anything like the miscreants I went to uni with, coronavirus won't survive their kitchens for long.

Re: Microsoft to buy Bethesda/Zenimax

This should be good in theory. But my gut reaction is terror at what Microsoft might do with Elder Scrolls and Fallout other than throw money at them.

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Right... I'm back home again, my dad's on the mend and my back's holding up, so barring any further crises (touchwood) I think I'm finally able to get back to D&D. :) I'm free any day but tonight this week.

Re: Playstation & Sony News/Discussion

£70. For a game. Let me put my diamond shoes on to go check the money tree to see if I've got a spare £20 note to mop my brow while I contemplate in what universe I'd consider that a fair transaction.

Re: The F1 thread

It’s a double-edged sword, though, because the likes of Verstappen get a DNF through no fault of their own. He had a heavy shunt from behind, but there’s a good chance he could have continued if he hadn’t been beached. And considering the reasonable performance Red Bull had, he might have had a look...

People who raise their eyebrows at the state of a cup of tea you've made for yourself and comment about how it's got too much / too little milk in it.

I made it. It's how I want it. :x

My favourite comment is "I couldn't drink that." Good, because it's not your tea!

Re: Crusader Kings 3: on Steam and PC Game Pass

I bounced off CK2 when I first played it because I had no idea what I was doing. I forget what drew me back several months later, but once I accepted that failure was part of the game, I found it much easier to figure out how to do things very gradually. I used a lot of YouTube tutorials to explain ...
