Re: General Gaming News

I think it's fair to say nobody is happy with Microsoft at the moment, but I'll not let the "let's all shit on Starfield" train chug along unchallenged where it's not deserved. ;) I was (somewhat brazenly I agree) simply stating that a studio at that level and a game release of that magnitude it lo...

Re: General Gaming News

Nah you're good Dave, Starfield was gash ¬_¬

Good to see that the Xbox hordes are gonna get to enjoy Helldivers as well. It's a game that just uber-clicked with me and hasn't overly released me since, I still love playing it.

The Haunted Cathedral level was arsehole puckering.
Yeah I really wasn't prepared for that - I am someone who avoids scary games like the plague but I was so invested by that point I had to get through it.

Just in the name of keeping the thread more consistently alive :) I have just finished Stormdancer by Jay Kristoff . Now he and I have form, I think that his Empire of the Vampire book is one of the best fantasy tales I have ever read, and it's a while till the concluding part comes out, so I though...

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

Mr Xerxes Von Braun, my bestie, my right hand boy turned 13 a few months ago. He’s been pretty consistently in fantastic health. When people ask his age they are either surprised or think I’m talking in months because he’s still so youthful. His only real issue is some hind leg arthritis that we ha...

It's been twelve years since the accident, it's been pretty clear for a long time that we'll never see the man again - you don't go from being one of the world's most famous sporting figures to a total and absolute media blackout for over a decade if it's an accident you can recover from. I worked ...

Re: Deathloop PC

Oh I went off the boil on it really fast. Once I realised I had to keep on repeating until I knew how to kill them all, the right order etc, it stopped being a game and became a chore. Worth a look if you haven't played it and don't mind icky Epic gamestore but it wasn't for me.

Re: Currently Reading

Yeah, enjoyed that a lot! My only quibble is that its set in "our world" but it might as well have been a new First Law land because the tone and archetypes are just a First Law novel really. I mean a warrior that sometimes loses control and becomes an indiscriminate killing machine, a badass lady,...

This one won't mean much to many here, but means a lot to me: https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/breaking-colin-jerwood-dead-63-35329391 Gutted. Saw them play last year with a friend I hadn't been out with in years. Also went to the punk festival in Scarborough earlier this year. They were ...
