Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 [PS4, XBone] - PC in November

That may actually be a good thing Dave. The visuals and visual effects on PC are truly breathtaking and if you are only 3 hours in then you will have the whole of the SP campaign as well as the Online element - so much of the game will be fresh for you.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 [PS4, XBone] - PC in November

Like I say, I just write stories about the idiots because they are fun to write. Most of my time in-game is spent enjoying myself with other players or on my own, the arseholes are the massive minority. Also due to the way that the game hosts, you are unlikely to meet the same player twice. If I log...

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 [PS4, XBone] - PC in November

I have to stress the shitebags are in the vast minority, I just write about them on here because writing about moonshine running, fishing, bounty hunting, while there is a load of fun to be had in-game they don't really translate well as stories. Had another one last night. I have recently bought a ...

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 [PS4, XBone] - PC in November

I have had a little more griefing-type behaviour recently in RDO, not so much as to be massively annoying but one was a bit of a pain. I have the four professions unlocked, Collector, Bounty Hunter, Moonshiner and Trader. To further my Trader ranking, I have been hunting anything that flies or walks...

Re: The gig thread

Fabulous gig last night. First off I went with my old sixth form college gigging buddy, who I last saw when we were at sixth form college three decades ago - great to hook up with him after so long. The band we went to see was The Hu - mongolian Horsehead fiddles, throat singing, really cool stuff a...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

This is the second season - I think after the Evans/LeBlanc era of completely forgettable broadcasting they stopped trying to engender interest in it.

The new presenters are a real return to form.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

I agree, it has been absolutely superb. The three of them really spark off one another and frequently have me laughing like a drain. Flintoff bungee-jumping a mini-metro off a huge dam showed that he has plums like Buster Gonad, and Sunday's episode had me absolutely howling with laughter, especiall...

How is this any better than when ISIS were destroying historical and religious sites across Syria, Iraq, etc.

It’s the variety of his misdeeds that’s incredible. He must have a controversy bucketlist he’s working through, although short of outright murdering someone I’m not sure what could be left.

Re: Playstation & Sony News/Discussion

I think my question has been answered :)

Dave I know you enjoy Japanese storytelling so it makes sense that you have enjoyed these titles, but I have never managed it whether Manga, Anime or the likes of the MGS series. Saves me spending money on the FF series

Re: Playstation & Sony News/Discussion

I have never played a Final Fantasy game. Always wondered if I was missing out, but suspect it would be one of those impenetrable Japanese stories that I would bounce clean off.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 [PS4, XBone] - PC in November

I am really interested in picking this up now. How does it run on the PC platform now? Runs like a dream for me, I think the majority of the performance gremlins are a distant memory now. It was a bag of spanners at launch but they soon fixed it up. Add OriginalSnowy to your friends if you pick it ...
