Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread

FYI, since yesterday lunchtime I haven't been able to open the main www.gamersarms.com site address in Firefox. It tries to download something PHP related instead:

Re: Currently Playing

Total War: Warhammer 1 I played through an Empire campaign, then a Dwarf campaign on Hard, followed by some dabbling with the Vampire Counts. I rather enjoyed all that. It's the first time in a couple of years I've actually settled down and played through a game fully. It's also the first TW game I...

Re: Tabletop Games

I've seen unboxing videos of that game on Youtube and I was basically: https://thumbs.gfycat.com/PracticalPastAlaskankleekai-small.gif If I had some peeps living nearby who were genuinely interested in spending a couple of evenings a month playing through the campaign, I'd buy it in a shot (or pay t...

Re: The F1 thread

Compared to this one, I think Vettel's penalty was more clear cut and correct - in terms of application of the rules as they are written. The corner-related overtaking rules give the stewards more room for manoeuvre, since there are precedents for cars being slightly ahead having right of way on the...

Those people who claim to hate the word 'gameplay' in an attempt to be edgy.

Re: The Big Steam Bargains Thread

That's why I only picked up the Warhammer 1 base game in this sale, and not WH2 + DLCs. It's enough for me 'to be going on with'.

If I end up really loving it I'll pick the others up in November or Xmas sales.

Re: The Big Steam Bargains Thread

I never did get round to playing Total War: Warhammer, might have a think about that one at £10. Although I'm sure I've seen it going for a fiver before on sale. Should have bought it then. :x

Sly, definitely get Grimrock 2. It expands on the first game perfectly. Absolutely loved playing that.

Re: The F1 thread

Bottas just can't maintain the same consistently high performance lap-by-lap in the race itself. Close to 20 seconds behind without any known issues. Although it's not really a problem for Mercedes I suppose, when Ferrari have an inferior car. But it does lessen the chance of a decent fight between ...

Re: They are Billions - shambling out of EA on June 18th

It does look interesting. I'm just slightly curious about what variety there might be in the campaign.

Also, very unforgiving time limits on missions going on what a lot of people are saying.

Re: Space Crusade Mission 3: Interception

Well let's see how Mantis and Animalmother feel - it could be they also think it's perhaps run its course for now. It's a fun/casual forum game, but doesn't quite have the same depth/storytelling potential of something like Advanced Heroquest, with its character sheets, henchmen, fate points, random...

Re: Space Crusade Mission 3: Interception

Ah, that's a shame, mid-campaign. But I guess if you're not really feeling it that's okay - obviously I only want to run this for as long as you all want to do it. We had a good few games out of it at least.

Re: Space Crusade Mission 3: Interception

Animalmother, you now have 4 Honour badges and you need to tell me if you want to trade all 4 for another promotion. Each promotion gives you 1 extra Order card. Mantis, you have 2 Honour Badges and will therefore have 6 Equipment Cards next mission, Sly you have 1 badge and will get 5 Equipment car...

Re: Space Crusade Mission 3: Interception

Combat Effectiveness: Blood Angels: 11-30 points. An acceptable performance. You are awarded one Honour Badge. Ultramarines: 31-50 points. A commendable performance. You are awarded two Honour Badges. Imperial Fists: 51 points or more. A heroic performance. You are awarded three Honour Badges. Promo...

Re: Space Crusade Mission 3: Interception

1 damage beats their 0 Armour and both Gretchins are snuffed out! And the 3 damage is enough to kill the other Ork. ... Right, so because I can't bring any more reinforcements on (you have LOS to all entry points) the remaining 2 won't be appearing, which means I can now award the primary mission to...
