Re: Cyberpunk 2077

I don't know how cliched CDPR's stories are, but Jackie looks like the type of sidekick they kill off a few missions in to kickstart the plot.

Re: Trump

"GOOGLE IS FAILING TO SHOW ENOUGH GOOD STORIES AND COULD BE PROSECUTED FOR MAKING ME LOOK BAD"

The caps are from copying and pasting from the headline, but I feel it suitably represents his thought process.

Re: The F1 thread

Soooo... LeClerc's halo appears to have taken the full weight of Alonso's Mclaren in yesterday's accident. It deflects so much energy that the Mclaren's suspension snaps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tC6ZcYfH7FQ I didn't put up much of an argument when it was confirmed that F1 would use the Halo ...

I'll wait until the VOD is available, I'd prefer to see it from the start.

Re: [Review] F1 2018 Review - Victory Lap

If this supported VR, I'd be so much more interested. VR is just too compelling a feature for racing sims to ignore its absence, and while I know it's not the work of moments to implement, I'm not going to choose a sim without it over one that does have support.

Re: Celebs are still dropping off....

I suspect Trump would never have attended McCain's funeral anyway; not only did a White House aide recently say that McCain's opposition didn't matter because "he's dying anyway" for which no apology was offered, but the draft-dodging Trump once mocked McCain for getting shot down and getting stuck ...

Also the little dig that Ferrari have some tricks in their car, implying a lack of fair play just because they had the faster car. In fairness, he's hardly the only one talking about Ferrari having found some sort of clever trick or workaround - the media have been pushing that theory since Monaco....

Re: The F1 thread

Another fairly dull race but with renewed hope for the championship I suppose. Hearing Hamilton mope because his car has an apparent weakness is getting quite old. He just sulks after every race he doesn't win, and magnifies the problems with his car to be far more significant than they actually are...

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - December 7th

I'll certainly consider it, but without having a network of people who want to play it locally, the appeal is diminished somewhat. It's just not the same when the other people aren't in the same room, particularly given the limitations of Nintendo's online service.

Re: Ye Olde English Complaining About The Weather Thread

It's pleasantly mild and breezy here in Lancaster, with occasional rain (sadly no chilli con carne or sparkling champagne). I'd prefer freezing cold weather, but considering the godawful blazing heat we've endured this summer I'm revelling in being able to sleep comfortably again. I think we've had...

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - December 7th

Mantis wanted individual games to have their own threads rather than there being a catchall for each console. I prefer it this way personally.

Re: General Film News

Of the four Bonds since the reboot, I've really enjoyed two (Casino and Skyfall), liked one (Spectre) and been completely unaffected by the other. I still can't remember the plot of Quantum despite having seen it at least twice. I can remember most of the lyrics to the Something of Boris song , but ...

Re: Favourite Games

DOOM That's the 2016 Bethesda nonsense, not the original. I do still love the original mind. There isn't another shooter I've played that controls so utterly perfectly, with combat this satisfying. Looks great, sounds great, runs like shit off a shovel when others would chug. The boss fights are pe...
