Re: Trump

I suspect it's less to do with the information and more to do with the bargaining position. Cohen was also just a lawyer, he was never a member of the government so his imprisonment is probably seen as less embarrassing for the US (although I don't really know enough US legal history to determine wh...

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

I suspect they're not referring to the crying of tears.

Edit: No, actually they were, apparently another MP has said as much. Huh. Conservatives have a soul. Who knew.

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

May has reportedly said that she won't lead the party into the next election. I wouldn't say this is really news to anyone, but she's clearly bargaining to remain in power. I think Nicola Sturgeon has said it best; "You know we've been reminded today what the entire UK has been plunged into because ...

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

In any other circumstance I'd love that May was possibly going, but who is going to take over if she does? Jacob Rees Mogg? Boris Johnson? There isn't a single Tory I'd rather have in that position. I was hoping that Corbyn might finally make a sodding move and initiate a vote of no confidence in th...

Re: Let's Play... XCOM 2 (War of the Chosen)!

I always assumed that the game was partially balanced around the mission timers, and it's one of the reasons I don't like to mess with them. If you need to rush to meet an objective, you're going to leave yourself a little more open and that's going to lead to mistakes. They're definitely the reason...

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

The EU have said that if her deal gets voted down then they will go back to negotiations, but May doesn't even have the spine to just bite the bullet and go for the vote. Actually they've said the opposite. https://twitter.com/MarkJohnstonLD/status/1072131932757078016 And why should they renegotiat...

The "Most Anticipated" question refers to 2018. I've answered it assuming you meant 2019.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - December 7th

I wouldn't say that it being the biggest Switch launch was that surprising, given the relative popularity of the series and fact that the other really big first-party titles came out in the console's first year prior to its first christmas. The biggest Smash launch is pretty impressive though, given...

Re: Parkitect

So far I think it's worth the full asking price. I'm ashamed to say I judged this far too early, back when there were three new theme park sim games on the horizon (this, Planet Coaster and the execrable Rollercoaster Tycoon World) and this just looked like little more than RCT3 in a slightly better...

Re: Epic Games launch their Steam competitor

Also Hades, the next game from Supergiant Games is going into early access on Epic's store. It has art similar to Transistor, plays a bit like Bastion and appears to have roguelike elements. That looks superb. I absolutely adore Supergiant's style, though I just haven't managed to get into any of t...
