Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange

Well here we go then. A general 10% tariff on all imports from all countries, the UK included, 20% from the EU, and 34% from China. I'm not going to pretend I know what this will do to the world's economies, but we'll see how long it takes Americans to start rioting when practically everything they ...

Re: General Gaming News

Oh, okay then. I guess that's why it's a Switch exclusive; I did think it a bit odd that they'd announce their next big game as not being multi-platform, but what little I could tell from the trailer as being multiple players looked like their standard terrible co-op functionality.

Re: Switch & Nintendo News/Discussion

Surprise! The Switch 2 launches in two months time. https://www.eurogamer.net/switch-2-release-date-revealed Mario Kart World, which looks to be a more open-world, Forza Horizon-esque game is a launch title. It'll have backwards compatibility for "select" Switch games, and a few will have Switch 2 u...

Re: General Gaming News

FromSoftware have announced their new single player game and it's.... a Switch 2 exclusive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77bnsN6SCPo&t=1s&ab_channel=IGN Aesthetically it looks more Bloodborne than any of their others, but it's leaning a little more in the steampunk direction. Not really any detai...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange

I think it's an indictment of the state of satire that you need to read fairly far into the article to work out whether it's actually an April Fools or not. Let's face it, Trump suggesting Clacton-on-sea should have a free port is not the most outlandish thing that he could do.

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange

Hah, I was just coming to post the same thing. We're literally talking about a man whose job title is "National Security Advisor of the United Sates of America", and he can't even secure his own bloody email address! It's just utterly insane that these people are running the largest economy and mili...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange

I seen it speculated that they were using Signal because the chat wouldn't be archived on the official government system they should have been using. They somehow managed to fuck that up epically. Yes, exactly the thing Trump was having his crowds chant "Lock her up!" (well, besides "Democrats bad"...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange

My favourite reaction to all of this was from Hillary Clinton, she of the infamous non-government email server Trump just would not shut up about ten years ago, who simply said:
You have got to be kidding me.

If Snowy's the group's tank, then I'm our sniper. My Veteran, the extremely cocky Irish lass (the game has a surprisingly wide range of regional British accents; Irish isn't exactly uncommon, but there are Scouse, Brummie, Lancashire, and they're all bloody entertaining - the voice acting in this re...

I used to find him quite entertaining when Martin spoke to him on the grid, but I could never quite get past his apparent racism and cosying up to Putin.

I won’t be going to his funeral. I don’t go to funerals. I may not go to mine. He certainly won’t go to mine.
I suppose it's good that he's *planning* for the point where we fire him into space with no return journey.

Ah shit, I was dimly aware of Eddie having cancer but wasn't aware it was so serious. I only listened to a first episode of the podcast he records with Coulthard a few days ago, Damon Hill replaced Eddie for that, and they were wishing him well at the start, and I didn't realise it was for anything ...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

It has gradually gotten better over the years, but clearly not enough given we're 7 years into it. I think it's time they put it to bed, and launch an actual documentary show with the same level of access.

Re: Gaming/office chairs

Yeah, I can't say I'd recommend the G9 on that basis; the repair would have cost as much as what I replaced it with. It was barely a year old, just outside of warranty, but even if it weren't it would likely have been considered user-damage anyway. Honestly I'm not sure I'd recommend one even withou...
