Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

I'll be honest: I've never understood the concept of dark/black comedy. The whole concept of people being hurt/injured/killed doesn't amuse me at all.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Tried it a little while ago; seemed like a parody version of Vikings. Didn't appreciate the humour, so stopped after about 5-10 minutes.

Re: The Room 102 thread - for things you love or just having a bloody good praise!

I have my boiler instructed to keep the house at 20 degrees (room temperature) at all times. At this time of year, the effort to get there means it is running for most of the day, apparently.

I really love this song: it's a rendition of The Song of Durin from The Lord of the Rings

Can't say I'm a fan. The last couple of days were a bit unreasonable.

Re: The H.P. Lovecraft Reading Club

Cheers for the write-up, Snowy. I never thought of Lovecraft's protagonists fainting as a total loss of sanity points before, but that's an excellent way to regard it. Are we happy to move on to The Dunwich Horror ? I realise Sly has read this already (albeit a few months ago) and if I'm understandi...

Re: Celebs are still dropping off....

Out of curiosity... why do you think that? I think he's basing it on the fact that, a couple of months ago when several supposedly famous people had recently died, Aron Eisenberg did as well, wasn't included in this thread, and you said: All these completely unknown people and yet no one has mentio...

Wow. That game looks great. I might even suspend my anti-3D philosophy in order to play it. ¬_¬

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

I thought so! On an even more sombre tone, something that fills me with rage is people causing other people deliberate harm -- especially torture. It's probably one of the most depressing and horrible realities of the world, if not the most. I don't want anyone to suffer in any way for any reason, b...
