Re: VR!

Yup. Thankfully I walk to and from my work -- a two-mile journey -- so the fresh air had me right again even before I got home.

Re: VR!

It was at work: testing out interactive tour guides for people unable to physically attend a tour. Just put on a pair of VR goggles and go on a 360 video tour instead... :-& Not sure what the brand of headset was, but it had a small camera in the front and came with a magic cube (I called it the Hor...

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

I have an Irish passport, and my wife and children are American. If things get really bad, I guess we'll bail out, one way or another.

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

 Defence chiefs had previously said 3,500 troops were being readied. BBC defence correspondent Jonathan Beale said the MoD was "stepping up a gear" with the new room "deep in the bowels" of its building. He said the room, which is already used for crisis management throughout the year, would be...

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

Yeah, I had that, but then it worked again. I think there's an incredibly large amount of people accessing the page.

I don't think Theresa May is deliberately sabotaging it.

I don't know what good it will do, but has anyone signed this petition yet?

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

I am still blindly optimistic that some better arrangement will work out in the long term.

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

I can't understand why May, originally a remainer, is so utterly fixated on driving it through at any cost. For what purpose? How does it benefit her or the Tory party, if that is the order of her priorities as Mantis says? If none of it is legally binding anyway, I don't understand why somebody who...

Re: Tabletop Games

The next miniature to be painted is one of Jaffar's palace guards. These guys patrol the dungeon of the Sultan's palace, swords at the ready, waiting to cut down any intruders. All of them have different coloured clothing. Here is the one I call the "orange guard": https://i.imgur.com/GWUtZPH.png No...

Re: Currently Reading

I think my reading interest must hibernate between September 23 and March 20; I feel as if I've not read any novels (for my own enjoyment) for the past six months, but this morning I woke up really excited about getting back into some novels once more! I have begun reading The Rigante series by Davi...

Re: \m/ Metal \m/

It's the vernal equinox today, so it seems like a good chance to promote this album, which has become one of my favourites recently:

Aria of Vernal Tombs by Obsequiae

I love this.

Re: Currently Playing

I didn't actually realise downloading ROMs was illegal. Seems obvious, I guess, but I'd just never thought about it/looked it up until you said that.

Now that I know it is, I actually do have a moral aversion to it. ¬_¬
