Re: Apex Legends [PC, PS4, XBone] - Respawn's F2P BR

I have to admit I don't really 'get' this game. After hours of PUBG, the shooting feels like trash in this, and everyone is a bullet sponge. It also still has that fortnitey f2p aesthetic that puts me off. Meh.

Re: The Photography Thread

Ooh a photography thread, me likey! I've been meaning to get more into it, since I got a mirrorless camera a year or so ago (Sony A6000, so not high end). A few photos are here, some of which are from my phone as well: https://www.instagram.com/james.lawrence1/ Unfortunately they're all the shitty i...

Re: Currently Playing

If they ever release a new game on the next source engine and it's still moddable, we'll have another golden age. Come on, Valve :(

Mate of mine helped make the original DoD (and possibly the Source one, I'm not sure). He had some sort of God Tier-like Valve package as a result, that he hardly ever used...
They kinda seem like 'forgotten' games now, it's sad. Overshadowed by counter strike and TF.

Re: Currently Playing

Day of Defeat: Source I used to play this and CS:S all the time when I was a teenager. Quite often I would end up playing stupid custom maps, stuff like surf, jailbreak, minigame, etc. I have recently been stuck with my semi-old laptop, so I can't play anything that new. As such, I've been re-livin...

I can dig it. I kind of just want another Fallout game with better shooting though.

Re: The 'I Just Bought' Thread - Technology Edition

How's the camera on your new Mate 20, Mantis? That phone does seem pretty cool. I'm on an S8 from a year or so ago, but I keep getting a horrible itch to upgrade (I don't even know to what) despite having no real problems with it. >_< I recently decided to purchase a Gigabyte Aero 15x laptop. I woul...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Been bingeing on Brooklyn nine-nine in the last day or so. I'm really enjoying it, though I think 10 episodes in one day might have been a bit much. In my defense, they're 22 mins long -_-

It felt a little forced at first, but I think it really settles into it after a few episodes.

Re: Battlefield V [PC, PS4, XBone] - V is for Victory

Still holding out on this. Don't really want to pay a great deal of money for it if there isn't that much in the way of 'content'. And by that, I mean maps, etc. as I couldn't give a fuck how many gun options I have (or cosmetic options). I've heard that this is the best BF of recent years, and that...

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

Opinion of someone who is absolutely not that well informed about politics etc: I think Brexit is silly. The leave campaign was based around a variety of promises that weren't even all agreed upon, because there were too many different positions on what was desirable/realistic after Brexit. Very few...

Ivory Towers? Was that an ultra elitist snob-cult led by Parvini?
Yeah, but it turned against him (they have a new forum). He's also now gone mental, and goes on about alt right shite on twitter/youtube.

Re: Currently Playing

DOOM (2016) . Fucking awesome, you really get in the zone with it, constantly moving and jumping whilst blasting demon scum. I love the silly lore they've added to the Doomguy's backstory, being the hellwalker etc. It makes you feel like even more of a badass. I dunno about anyone else, but I find ...

Men of War is good innit. Would buy/10. It's also only 99p! Anyone ever play Soldiers: Heroes of WW2? It's basically more of that.
