I got 5 out of 6 but admittedly at least two of those were a lucky guess. Used headphones on my laptop and just picked the ones where I could hear the background instruments the best. With Susanne Vega it was the wet sounds of her mouth opening and closing

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
Latest episode of Shogun was great. I love how he swings from thinking he has a grasp on the culture to getting blindsided by some seemingly little thing. MotA was a slow drag for the first few episodes but it definitely gets better later. The fate of some of the bailed out aircrew was horrifying as...

Yeah I always found 80's Bill Murray to be unpleasant but I do love Ghostbusters. Speaking of 80's/90's... Dark Angel A 7ft alien criminal lands on Earth and injects people with massive overdoses of heroin and then sucks the "high" juice out of their skull. Dolph Lundgren is a cop trying to stop him...

Last week I cracked my right thumb nail somehow. Then I squashed two fingers in a window shutter (the pain was fucking awe inspiring), took a chunk out of my knuckle and finally cracked my other thumb nail playing with the dog. I might be cursed.

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
American Fiction A black author can't get anything published, in frustration he submits a very trashy novel full of black stereotypes. Much to his disgust it gets picked up and becomes wildly popular. Very funny in places but also a bit grim as his personal life is going to shit in the background. ...

Re: General TV News
That looks great. Is it possible we might actually get another great video game adaptation along with The Last of Us? It's almost like having knowledge of the source material is good!

Stalker (Xbox version, also available on PS5) This got announced and released on the same day, genuinely love when they do that. It's a no frills console version of the PC game, warts and all. I put a few hours into it yesterday and it's basically a repeat of my experience trying it in the PC years...

https://youtu.be/XV76zpoDfj4?feature=shared Original game and the DLC now on Xbox I ended up buying it. All 3 games for 40 quid so what the hell. Played a bit and it's a tad janky of course but seems to run very well. There's mod support coming later in the year so that's great. I also like to think...

Dune: Part 2 Not too dissimilar from Rusty's opinion. Very enjoyable and worth the long wait but I did prefer the first film if I'm honest. That aside, it's a fucking epic experience. The sound is phenomenal, there are times where your chest cavity is vibrating from sheer sonic overload. Go see it ...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
Shogun A remake of the 80's show based on a book. This one seemed to have arrived with little fanfare which is odd as it's very good. Set in 1600's Japan, an English sailor is shipwrecked and taken prisoner. There's a civil war a brewing and he's getting dragged in. Two episodes in so far, it's a s...
