Re: Dead Space Reboot

I'm a big fan of the series, I even enjoyed DS3. But I'll be waiting for these to go on sale in the future before getting them. I'm much more interested in Callisto Protocol simply because it looks amazing. Wasn't Issac pretty much mute in the original Dead Space? He seems pretty yappy in the the ne...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Huge spaceships all clustered together and flying directly into another clump of huge ships while all firing with wild abandon.

I'm not a Star Trek fan, always found it a bit po-faced and slightly up its own arse for my liking. So the silliness in The Orville took that edge off it for me.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

I started watching The Orville a while back and enjoyed the first 2 seasons, it managed to mix humor with Star Trek type sci-fi. A bit silly but great use of practical effects and good CGI. Then I got to season 3 and am genuinely struggling to get through each episode, to the point where I'll fast f...

Re: Ukraine

Like a Trump rally then. Imagine the domino effect of Putin being removed from power. The dictators of Syria, Belarus and Chechnya (and many others no doubt) may very quickly find themselves up against a wall or on the run. The Republican party and the NRA will be shitting themselves in the US as th...

Re: Ukraine

Yeah there's nothing we can do about it and with a bit of luck this will spark a regime change in Russia. 300,000 men requested to join the army. Nearly 200,000 (mostly men) have already fled Russia and more on the way out. Rural villages and towns are getting picked clean of men rather than in the ...

Re: General Film News

In the first film there's a blink and you'll miss it mention of a rocket launch sending astronauts into space. I wonder if this is when they arrive back on Earth.

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

Blonde
The new Marilyn Monroe biopic on Netflix. I only watched the first 15 minutes before turning it off, not because it was bad but because it's so fucking grim. I'll come back to it again but at over 2 hours it will be an exhausting watch. Ana de Armas looks amazing (well obviously...)
