Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

my point about free movement is the fact that it is used as an excuse by the right to justify bashing johnny foreigner to gain popularity. The fact is the right is gaining in strength based on fear of immigration and unless the EU want to continue to see social democrat parties retain power they nee...

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

she has lost all credibility and me thinks this is way above her head. The EU will not give any concessions (why would they). We should have just exited 2 years ago and by now we would have been in a much better position or at least know where we are. This is just shit and frankly embarrassing.

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

with Italy imploding, Germany without a functioning govt and Hungary going fullout Nazi, France in riots and potentially either going communist or fascist and Belgium in shambles - I doubt we will get the time now let alone the goodwill  let it all burn. Its their fucking fault. This is the cla...

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

BlacKkKlansman

Pretty good but not as powerful as I expected it to be. What made it worthwhile is the last 5 minutes with footage from Charlottesville which both put this film in perspective as well putting it in shadow.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Deutschland 83 Been wanting to see this for some time and finally caught it on Prime. Brilliant beginning and ending but it got lost with some silly subplot mid-season, like it lost its way between 3 to 5 than got back on track from 6. It did have several plot holes but overall it was worth a watch...

Smallfoot

I dreaded this but I have to admit it is excellent. The story is pretty good and the colours are amazing, especially the night scenes. The adult jokes fail and I hate James Corden, but apart from that, my son and I really liked it.

Re: Epic Games launch their Steam competitor

I take back what I said earlier - I can see this being a success if and only if 2 things happen
- exclusives or rather due to the low commission you cannot get said game elsewhere
- price discounts on par with Steam

Consumers love choice but they love low prices even more and low price is king
