Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

I've been watching a few shows the last few weeks: Agents of Shield . Last season of this, and I have to say the whole thing has really been a lot of silly fun. I love how wacky the direction of the show went around season 4, with matrix like storylines, time travel, space and more. They just don't r...

Re: The Covid-19 Thread

I have to say, I think Luxembourg has done a fairly decent job overall at managing the crisis. I'm sure it helps that the country is small, but the instructions were clear and concise from very early on. It was quite shocking at the start when everyone had to queue 2 metres apart to get into superma...

Re: Currently Playing

My work life this year ended up taking a turn for the intense for most of the last six months, and my time engagement with gaming has changed quite a bit. I've pretty much ditched Guild Wars 2 as the direction it's taken in the last year has not been to my liking, but probably also because the conte...

Re: Gaming/office chairs

I'm going to say the last two chairs I've bought, each of which lasted me 10 years, were both from Staples, costing around 150-200, to the best of my memory. They have a decent selection, and I'm slightly disappointed i'm not in the UK as i would probably replace my current one in the next year or s...

Re: Indie Game News/Releases

I picked up Curse of the Dead Gods a few weeks ago. It's a decent enough game, and if I had to compare it with something, it'd be Hades. Although Hades just has a charm and magic that draws me in much more easily than this early access game. I think i just like the environments, pallette and mood mo...

Re: Currently Playing

Good on you both! Grim Dawn is, largely, excellent! I've levelled a fair number of characters through one or two playthroughs. I usually stop playing it as i find the ambiance gets a bit samey after an amount of play, even if the class diversity and systems are so exceptional. Ashes of Malmouth and ...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

I just finished Devs a day or two ago. Bizarre little mini series. Essentially a dystopian (current day) world in which vastly hypothetical scientific tech is being explored, merged with a little murder and drama. It's an engaging enough story during its 8 episodes, but i couln't help but think it f...

Re: Epic Game Store - Epic's Steam Competitor

Ubi ones link to your uplay so you don’t actually need epic store to launch them ;) My issue is with the fragmentation of platforms. I want all games to be available on our platform of choice, and that Steam, EPIC, Rockstar, Ubi, Origin compete to offer the best integrated platform. The more exclus...

Re: Epic Game Store - Epic's Steam Competitor

Oh my god.... ok i'm very much against investing in the Epic Game Store, but at the discounted price that Hades is at, I can't not recommend it! It's a work of art!! 8-)

Also fairly tempted by FC5 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint at those prices... not that i need more games i won't play...

Re: Borderlands 3

hey! I'm really glad you think so! I cannot BELIEVE i'm still being drawn back to it after a hundred hours! I started with a siren too, although i definitely felt fairly squishy in endgame. I ended up levelling an Operative too using the DLC to spice it up. The DLC content is pretty good too - i enj...

I'm game for some coop if it takes your fancy.

Did try with one friend though and it kept failing - but joining random matchmaking seems to work, oddly?

Re: Borderlands 3

I'm going to say... I'm in awe of this game. :o I was expecting, optimistically, to spend 30 hours on it. I'm on over a 100 hours. I just finished the Handsome Jackpot DLC, and that was MASSIVE. It just kept going on and on and on. It's a superbly balanced (perhaps with the wrong build), but constan...
