Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

I think I have my three top shows for the year, and that's despite watching a number of other very entertaining shows.... Tokyo Vice Absolutely loved the first season of this superbly filmed dark and gritty version of Tokyo, which sees an American reported get a job at the most prestigious newspaper...

Re: Work Life Balance

Do you like what you do? I don't hate what I do. ;) On the rare occasions that I get an interesting project and some clear time to get stuck in without constant hassling from others, I very much enjoy my work. I do have a healthy disdain for the corporate side of things, but when I'm allowed to act...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

I think I've made it to season 2 of BCS, but I still can't get into it. I think it's a good quality show, and I believe everyone who tells me it's excellent. I struggled with Breaking Bad too until about season 3 as I really just hated all the characters, and it's the same kind of thing here. I know...

Work Life Balance

So how is everyone? Feels like an age since I posted here, although I've naturally been lurking in the corner of the Arms regularly to make sure everyone is still having a good time! I can't really keep away from you lot! Life got pretty hectic for me in the last 9 months or so. Like others in this ...

Re: Currently Playing

I ended up subbing to PS Now for a year this holiday. I've since binged my way through the absolutely MASSIVE (and newest) God of War game for the first time. Pretty impressive visually, and the gameplay isn't bad at all. Overall I enjoyed the experience. At some point I need to go back and play the...

Re: Upgrade Time

From everything I'm seeing, the situation is crap and is likely to remain crap for some time yet. Everyone needs chips right now, from car manufacturers, to phone manufacturers, and, of course, PC components. Apple said only this week that they expect shortages in new phones this year. What that's d...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Will have to look Always Sunny up, seen it on Netflix but never watched it. Shout out to Bosch , great police procedural show based on novels by Michael Connelly with Titus Welliver in the lead role. Great cast, great plot arcs, great show. The last series has just recently arrived and maintains th...

Re: Playstation & Sony News/Discussion

To be fair, if I'm getting a few games every month to keep for the price of an annual sub, I don't think it's a bad deal, especially given how much a console game costs compared to Steam... I'm in an unusual situation in that while not living in the UK I wanted a UK account. Last time I used PS Now ...

Re: Playstation & Sony News/Discussion

Thanks for the clarification! I think for me I've got at least a year's worth of content on PS Now if I keep it after the trial. I've never had a Sony console before, so there's a massive backlog of stuff to look at! :) I'll have a think about whether to grab PS Plus - maybe when there's a good mont...

Re: Currently Playing

Phantom Abyss I picked this up recently when it came out in early access. I can't decide for now HOW much replayability it has, but it's definitely got SOMETHING that keeps me going back for a run or two each day. You're basically Indiana Jones, delving into trap laden obstacle courses... a little ...

Re: Playstation & Sony News/Discussion

So I finally rejoined the console club for the first time since the original Wii, and managed to snag a PS5 at the start of the month. Since then I've been lost in the world of Ghost of Tsushima , which is quite possibly one of the most gorgeous settings and worlds I've experienced in a game! I've g...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Been watching a couple of shows lately Yellowstone Kevin Costner and cast do an awesome job of bringing to life this show and its 3 seasons (so far) of a ranching family in Montana fighting to prevent the march of progress. I think as much as anything I just love the ambiance and the location of it....

Generally I don't like the Motley Fool - they always seem to have the "best" tips, so if they're all the best, I can hardly call them reliable. However, the following article did pique my interest. With Electric being the foreseeable future (acknowledging it has pros AND cons), there's no doubt in m...

The link below shows the world based on there being only 1000 GDP in it. Pretty interesting distribution of wealth! https://preview.redd.it/37edl5f6mu371.png?width=7377&format=png&auto=webp&s=ce5aaea90ed9367d3a5eb222d28ca14f24332cd6 Full size link: https://preview.redd.it/37edl5f6mu371.png?width=737...
