Re: Star Trek: Picard

Everything I read about Picard suggests it's going to be a complete clusterfuck... but still I live in hope.

Re: Netflix increases sub prices

Yeah, this all seems very over-blown to me and feels much more like a hatchet job at Netflix than any real analysis of the market. Yes, I fully expect a lot of older stuff to go from Netflix for the other streaming services (though it's worth noting that a lot of those are US-only, whereas Netflix a...

Re: Tabletop Games

I haven't played Gloomhaven, but it does look very interesting. My games collection is definitely at breaking point now though so anything new I want to buy has to come at the expense of something else going. There's only so much shelving I can physically fit in my flat. :P

Re: Digital Distributions Deals - Everything that's not Steam

Just want to add my thanks as well. I may not buy many of them, but that's just because I have such a back-catalogue of stuff to play still but it's an appreciated service!

Re: Daily forum quiz thread

Happy with 5/10 when I guessed every single answer today.

Fuck "modern" music (which to me is almost everything after about 1950).

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

Whilst I generally dislike the concept and execution of most stag dos I've actually enjoyed the couple I've been on. One started at around 11am with a gentle stroll through the Bermondsey Beer Mile, which was pleasant enough even for a non-drinker like me. This was followed by a couple of excellent ...

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

That sounds pretty horrendous. My journey is usually pretty easy (Queens Road Peckham to Euston - 6 miles as well) , with the standard bunch of cockwomble cyclists who like playing kamikaze at intersections, but for the most part my journey is straightforward and doesn't have any real HGV munching z...

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

Today on my cycle home from work I: - had a guy shout "arsehole" at me as I went through a GREEN light at a junction. Maybe he just hates all cyclists? How dare we cycle on roads he wants to cross. - had a guy beep at me when I overtook another bike (I never left the cycle lane) and got within about...

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

When I worked at Sky, at least 50% of my working day was spent in meetings. You didn't dare not go to a meeting though, otherwise you would end up with all the actions coming out of it. At that level though, it actually worked pretty well. These were largely meetings for senior management where deci...

I love Oglaf. It's bookmarked on my bookmarks bar and I check it weekly. Some great comics in there.

But he didn't ask for a representation of a tesseract, he wants the real thing. Get working you. :P

Re: Adventures in 3D design and printing

An actual tesseract is a four dimensional cube, so I'd be very impressed if anyone manages to 3D print one in the next century. :D
