Once ...Hollywood

It’s overly long self indulgent wank.
So like almost all his films then.

Re: Epic Game Store - Epic's Steam Competitor

The Ooblets guy has posted on Medium . I still think his initial post was very badly considered, and it seemed designed to annoy some people and poke the bear. Still, the amount of abuse they've got is atrocious. Complain about the decision, sure, but who could seriously think that death and assault...

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

YouTube increasingly recommends me videos that I've already watched. I keep telling them I'm not interested because I've already watched them but here I am, with several more recommendations for videos I've already watched. :x

Re: Sega Mega Drive Mini - September 19

I've had plenty of issues with board games getting through Customs over the last 12-18 months. I've just stopped buying anything that's going to be distributed through an EU partner because it's just not worth the hassle at the moment.

Re: Indie Game News/Releases

NoClip generally do some really good documentaries about gaming, but this one about Astroneer is really touching. They do a great job of really bringing to the fore the people behind the games.

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

It hit 35 degrees in my office this afternoon, at which point we all decamped to one of the student computer cluster rooms which was free to bask in the air conditioning. Cycling home was horrendous too; you know when you get caught in the exhaust air flow from a bus and it's just a wall of heat? Ye...

Everything I read about Picard suggests it's going to be a complete clusterfuck... but still I live in hope.

Re: Netflix increases sub prices

Yeah, this all seems very over-blown to me and feels much more like a hatchet job at Netflix than any real analysis of the market. Yes, I fully expect a lot of older stuff to go from Netflix for the other streaming services (though it's worth noting that a lot of those are US-only, whereas Netflix a...

Re: Tabletop Games

I haven't played Gloomhaven, but it does look very interesting. My games collection is definitely at breaking point now though so anything new I want to buy has to come at the expense of something else going. There's only so much shelving I can physically fit in my flat. :P

Just want to add my thanks as well. I may not buy many of them, but that's just because I have such a back-catalogue of stuff to play still but it's an appreciated service!

Re: Daily forum quiz thread

Happy with 5/10 when I guessed every single answer today.

Fuck "modern" music (which to me is almost everything after about 1950).
