Re: Cyberpunk 2077 [PC, PS4, XBone] - out September 17 2020

I finished the main storyline last night and have done a lot but not all of the side quests - total play time is around 110 hours. Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

I thought the very ending wasn't great, but up until that point it was fantastic. Totally agree on the music as well.

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

I had the misfortune of watching it for the first time with someone who had seen it several times before and kept telling me what was going to happen in the next scene and how much they loved the next scene because of trivia points A, B, and C. I hated every moment of that film and there is no chanc...

Re: General Film News

I'm cautiously optimistic. I think it's a very difficult book to adapt well (though I very much liked the Lynch film for trying) but I'm on-board with 90% of the choices they've made that we've seen so far at least.

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

Conversely, I really enjoyed it. I don't think it was his best film, and the pacing (particularly of the first act) could do with a bit of space to breath and take in what's going on but I enjoyed it overall and the key set pieces were really well put together.

Re: Trump

Latest CNN poll puts Biden at 49% and Trump at 48%. People are now saying out loud that we should expect a second Trump term. Never put much stock in a single poll. The polling average still has Biden up by about 8 points, which is substantially better than what Clinton was leading by at the same p...

Re: The Covid-19 Thread

Only a government this inept could set down a law that made it illegal to have someone round your home but allow multiple homes to all meet up at the pub.

Re: Trump

It's a bit more nuanced than that. He can cancel the election, but unless he wins a presidential election again he ceases to be President on the 20th of January 2021. Following the line of succession, as Mike Pence will also cease to be the Vice President it will pass to the Leader of the House whic...
