Re: I Just Watched (Films)

Rebel Moon, Part I I've watched this twice so far, once with my daughter and she also very much enjoyed it. The movie is getting slagged by online reviewers - I'm noticing a lot of copy/paste type stuff happening. I'm also seeing some reviewers who have no clue how movies tell stories... Anyway, wi...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Just started Reacher season 2. I don't remember it being so hung ho. Fun so far though It's a shadow compared with Season 1, for sure. It's like watching live-action Scooby Doo. Someone finds a clue, team stares at one another for 30 seconds, someone figures it out, repeat. And the dumb stuff you'v...

Re: Arty Antics and Similar Stuff

https://inktober.com/rules And Mantis, thanks for the replies :) I was an artist in my teen years, did some cool stuff that I hope to scan and share one day. Since the mid-90s I've wanted to get into digital painting, with the idea that I might retire and have something interesting to do, such as c...

Re: Arty Antics and Similar Stuff

I'm just about to throw my hand into all this - my family has offered to spring for an iPad Air, so that I can get Procreate to draw/paint, and GarageBand to continue my menacing of society with whacky electronica downbeats and industrial. Will you guys be continuing this daily thing? And if so, how...

Re: Arty Antics and Similar Stuff

My daughter is working on a large piece, 5 foot on the long side. You can see how she develops the layers and designs. I'm tagging this with spoilers because there's frontal nudity - it's basically several succubi , hanging out together. She's pursuing what she's calling a "desecrated religious" the...

Re: Aaand, In Other News...

Nah US feckin lllllove Israel. They'll be right in there. Wouldn't surprise me if they go into Ukraine to take back supplies to give them to Israel. There's certainly a large contingent over here that loves Israel. I'm not the least bit a part of that, and never have been. All these deaths, because...

Re: TGA Ghosts - co-op goodness for all

There's a bunch of new stuff there I'm interested in actually. They're reintroducing the grenade-cooking talent too, and I've always wanted grenades to be more useful. I was luckily able to recalibrate a piece of chest armor, snatching that grenade-cook talent, so now I can stick it on most any che...

Brendan has always been there, yep,
Spoiler
and is a curiously fatalistic sorta thing, I remember quitting playing after the ending of all that, was sad

Re: Starfield has a release date

This guy pretty much nails it - basically says he's enjoying it despite itself and then goes on and lists all the faults with it: That was fun to watch. His delivery is a little odd, like how he spins around and his eyes don't track the camera, kinda like an animatronic Disney/mannequin thing... Bu...

Got past the braindance haha - and I've cleared Watson of almost everything, I think. Selling weapons is a great way to get eddies, thank goodness, because the cyberware stuff is expensive as f. I love not having to think about what gd outfit I'm going to have to wear in order to boost up my armor. ...

I'm concerned that they are saying an SSD drive is a requirement now in order to play on PC. My desktop is six years old now, so I'm not sure if this will actually run :(

Re: Starfield has a release date

Are we getting Freespace mixed up with Freelancer? I would kill for a modern remake of the Freespace games with VR support. I know they've been modded for 20+ years (my brother used to write for a user-made campaign), but as the X-Wing Alliance upgrades have shown, you really need a modern graphics...

Re: SpaceBourne 2

It must be said that it is in "very early access" and who knows how many years before it's fleshed out and not so janky with the 3rd-person stuff. But I'm willing to give it a try because it does do (or promise to do) a lot of things that I'd enjoy in a space-faring game. It's mostly AI-spoken right...

SpaceBourne 2

I just bought this based upon a video review of gameplay: https://youtu.be/MdlOG5XjKKY?si=vmWZlnjsHA7JFyTL It's in early access, and created by one person, apparently. I'm downloading now. It seems to have a ton of content and gameplay, and should have more as time goes by. I'm happy to give this de...
