Watch The Orville. There's a show that just gets better and better! :D
I would, but it's not available on any of the services I get :x
You could borrow it from your uncle?

Re: Google Stadia

It's not just the last mile either – it's physical distance that's deadly to this approach. My ping to a server inside my ISP in London (and I'm in Oxford) is 18ms on average, on a fast connection. I play games regularly at home where my ping is around 20ms, which lines up. I'm in Oxford, which is r...

Re: VR!

I know what you mean about being moved around. Sitting in a space ship or a car in VR is fine for me, but I feel weird in Minecraft when walking around, and I get a horrible feeling if I turn off flying mode when up in the sky. The fall to the ground and sudden stop? Brr… The teleportation mechanic ...

Re: Currently Playing

My current PC case doesn't even have any external drive bays, and my previous PC's DVD drive was unplugged after I ran out of ports for hard drives (well… SSDs)!

Get ready boys it very much looks like a hard Brexit on the 12 April.

Better start buying canned fruit and toilet paper !
Start buying? Please. We've got a bundle of loo rolls, and a full month's worth of tinned and dried food in a cupboard.

Re: The elephant in the room - Brexit

Asking the unwashed masses what they think about a complex topic and then taking action based on a narrow margin was fucking stupid. Why should we listen to people (so-called "experts") that have studied economics and are considered among the best in their field when we've got Big Frank from down th...

I'm looking forward to the inevitable "We didn't think it'd be like this though" when the nation goes into meltdown.
Ahahaha, no chance. They'll double down. "Well, if you remoaners had just let them get on with it, we wouldn't be in this mess!"

I would love to see their testing methodology here, these figures seem simply unbelievable.

Re: Currently Playing

Man, I played one of the Golden Axe games to death back when I was small. I think it was on the Commodore 64, but I also had a Megadrive later on so it might have been on that.

Can't wait for my kid to be old enough to play games, assuming brain-implant VR hasn't killed off consoles by then.

Re: VR!

Yeah, Superhot is great, but I think overall I preferred Robo Recall as it felt more of a complete game over a super cool tech demo.

Re: VR!

If it's light enough like our spare room bed was, flipping it up onto its side gives a lot of extra room for little effort.

Re: The 'I Just Bought' Thread - Technology Edition

Complication is the proper term watch makers gave to any additional features on a watch that aren't just "what's the time", so it makes sense, even if it is a pretty weird name.

Re: VR!

I've had to move my PC out of the "spare" room (which is now my 5-month-old child's room) into our bedroom, and there's just not enough room for VR anymore. Fuck's sake. ☹️
