Quite enjoying this mode, it's really quick to get in and start blasting at cowpoke.

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

As someone who uses various transport methods: Cyclists who don't adhere to any fucking road laws: Red lights? Nah. One-way street? Fuck it. Road busy? Let's cycle on the pavement and get huffy when pedestrians don't move out of the way. Drivers who are completely incapable of thinking about anyone ...

"Vettel did not have full control over"

So, a dangerous re-joining of the track, then? 😬

Re: The F1 thread

If Vettel had gone round the corner normally, I think the odds of Hamilton getting the overtake at that point are highly dubious. The fact that Hamilton saw an opportunity to overtake suggests to me that Vettel lost time rather than gained time. Right. Vettel lost time, Hamilton had the opportunity...

Re: Good Laptop Battery use

Depends on the battery type. NiCd batteries are super old and would suffer a "memory" effect if you didn't fully discharge. NiMH ones don't have the memory problem, but can be damaged if you leave them sat around uncharged. They'll last around 500-1000 charges before they start to fail. Li-ion and L...

Re: Apple to shut iTunes for app based solution

"Apple to Split iTunes", surely? All the services will still exist, but it just won't be the bloated atrocity that iTunes became over the years.

(I watched the developer conference keynote, seems like a positive move assuming everything works well. iTunes has been a mess for years.)

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

And yet the accidents proved the relative safety, not relative danger, of nuclear energy. Nobody died from radiation at Three Mile Island or Fukushima, and fewer than 50 died died from Chernobyl in the 30 years since the accident. Source (Though since this was written, the first radiation-related d...

That's… not the message you should be taking from this. Soviet-era reactors are nothing like modern ones.

You could probably do that fine, it’s 50mbps is t it? Most home broadband isn’t 50mbps. The big upgrade to 5g is in latency more than speed I think so gaming is more viable.
