Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

I was in Dubai last week where it was 41 degrees for a few days and 39 the rest with overnight lows of 32. The humidity was also nasty for the first couple of days but it's surprising how much you get used to it after a while. However everywhere indoors is Airconned massively of course and generally...

Re: Currently Playing

I figured out last night I believe I have been hit by the games downscaling lowering my weapons and gear made a substantial difference, I'm World Tier 15 but can't shake the notion my build is a bit of a mess. Been thinking of starting a new Pyro currently playing Trickster. A shame then the game h...

Re: Currently Playing

Technically it is a cover shooter I guess but you use whatever class to play in a style to both kill the bads and replenish health. The Trickster works really well for it but I really struggle with the Pyromancer. I suppose it's designed to stop the endless avoidance of damage. I think the... Techno...

Re: Currently Playing

I'm actually playing through this for the first time at the minute. Love the setting and the voice acting, I'm not sure why this has such a bad rep, I've enjoyed it far more than Destiny 2 and I'm no fan of 3rd person usually. I've got to around world tier 7/8 with each class to get a flavour of thi...

Re: Currently Playing

Chorvs First peeve, are we supposed to call it chorus? Why’s the v in there? Is it stylistic or…? Bah! It feels like freelancer but without the loot. It’s quite fun but I got annoyed by the VO and and it doesn’t seem like there’s much depth to any of it so I can’t see me sticking with it. Trivia: V...

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan

Oh yeah, I'm not even remotely in favour of the jubilee celebrations themselves; spending millions of pounds celebrating the reign of a monarch who has watched our country shit itself to death over the last decade (let's not forget that she was personally lied to by our standing PM), while a signif...

Re: Work Life Balance

How many hours a week are you contracted for versus what you actually do? I'm contracted to work 35 but I'll often work a couple of hours here an there extra as a situation demands it Do you object to working additional hours? There is no onus on me to work those extra hours I mention above. If I d...

Re: General TV News

It was a bit heavy on the Death this season wasn't it?

Standouts for me were The Heart of the Machine, Kill Team Kill, Swarm and Jibaro - agree that it was unsettling on the eye but the style was amazing.

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

M83 wise - totally recommend Saturdays = Youth and Digital Shades Vol. 1 as great starting points. Midnight City is almost as good. Junk is excellent but really quite odd.

Re: I Just Watched (Films)

The soundtrack is by M83 iirc and is excellent.

Tech wise, it's clearly extrapolating the Apple design aesthetic to extremes. I do like Oblivion, it's one of the more interesting Sci Fi films to come about in recent years.

Jeebus!

That really is a nightmare.

I was extremely lucky to get a fixed rate locked in the week before October that lasts for two years but I'm seriously worried about the bump up that will happen then.

Re: Elden Ring

I've been watching this with interest. I bounced off Dark Souls hard and never tried another. I was wondering what the open world would bring and how people would take to it. I'm currently playing Horizon Zero Dawn and wishing that it was a bit more enigmatic like Elden Ring seems to be. Still not s...
