It is a fantastic achievement. Apparently, the external cameras are just unaltered GoPros!
That can't be right surely? They're accidentally suitable for Mars?!

Re: The Covid-19 Thread

I have sacked the aftershave off, I have particularly expensive tastes there and buggered if I am wasting it :) I'm all ears if you have recommendations... I'm chasing a certain aftershave at the moment but I don't know what it is. Richard E Grant's Jack, available from Libertys, is especially nice...

Re: The Room 102 thread - for things you love or just having a bloody good praise!

Had a minor win last night. Got a takeaway curry (chicken karalla - superb) and found an extra curry in the bag. I phoned to let them know just in case it was someone else's but they said don't worry about it, so I have a free bonus curry today! \:D/ Not sure what it is. I haven't opened it to samp...

Re: The Room 102 thread - for things you love or just having a bloody good praise!

Started tracking my walking 400 days ago exactly. Today I hit 1,000 lifetime miles. Five years ago you would never have seen a third of that. Still a long way to go but only way is up. Fair play mate. Are you walking everyday? I've let work get in the way of racking the miles up massively since Jan...

Re: The Covid-19 Thread

My friend described my current look (as it was in July 20) as looking like a disgruntled Tory with a failing vineyard and high blood pressure.

I might just go bald.

Re: You have quite the treasure there in that Horadric Cube!

Are new audiences taken in by this remake stuff though? I suppose it depends on the quality of the remake. The quick cash ins that are basically just a few new graphical effects and maybe a bump in texture detail aren't going to win many over without the benefit of nostalgia, but the likes of FF7 R...

Re: You have quite the treasure there in that Horadric Cube!

The original Dawn of War and Company of Heroes were amazing and definitely better in terms of combat and tactical gameplay, but they didn't have the same civ building element that AoE had with its broader tech tree of base buildings. Shame it's a dead genre, if there were a taste for it now then I'...

Re: You have quite the treasure there in that Horadric Cube!

I don't think getting a new audience really matters that much for it, there is a very large number of customers who played the originals back in the day and would enjoy experiencing them again tarted up with quality of life improvements. AoE2 had a couple of remasters over the last decade or so. Th...

Re: You have quite the treasure there in that Horadric Cube!

It's because Blizzard aren't capable of making new games that are actually good. All people want from them is to be as good as they used to be. Easier to sell remakes than aspire to developing new stuff like that. Diablo 4 is still in development, but I'm not holding out a great deal for that given...

What happened to original ideas? I don't know what you mean. Now here's Burning Crusade Classic and Hearthstone Classic! https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2021-02-19-world-of-warcraft-burning-crusade-classic-to-get-paid-character-cloning-and-boosts-and-pre-nerf-raid-bosses https://www.eurogamer.ne...

Re: The Covid-19 Thread

I don't really get how some people need to shower every day. Fair play if you're exercising or whatever, but as a course of habit even when you've spent all day at home? Do people really sweat that much sat around doing nothing? Well, a few things I guess: 1) People who wake up and don't shower sme...

Re: Gaming Regrets

In my half-cut state I've thought of another regret, which is probably niche but I was listening to the soundtrack.

Learning to speedrun Little Big Adventure 2, which is probably my favourite game. Ruined it.

Re: You have quite the treasure there in that Horadric Cube!

I assume there was a guy at Blizzard who suggested making a new game and is now in four separate bins.

What happened to original ideas?

Re: The Covid-19 Thread

What is this joy you speak of? Soap, and a shower that leaves bruises. Everything else is (ie. 7:00-7:15 (time it takes for me to wake up) and 8:00-sleep (the time I offer up to the gods for a monthly salary)) just foreplay. It's a tantric experience. It's all about mindset. I'm thinking about unde...

Bathing as a way to describe general hygiene
Oh general hygeine now, Your Highness?!

Tbh if I didn't shower every day I'm unsure where I'd even derive joy.
