Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

I've enjoyed the few series Dave put out, it generally wasn't as good as the older stuff but better than later-day Red Dwarf that the BBC put out. I remember thinking the last series was much closer to the standard of the old stuff.

Re: Currently Playing

I tried the GoT mod once and found it actually harder to get into the game that way. I've been watching some Lets Plays that have helped me get a handle on some of the stuff.

Re: Currently Playing

Finally got stuck into Crusader Kings 2 last night after dipping my toe in a couple of times and playing some multiplayer a few years back. It was rather eventful. I decided to give the new Monarch's Journey a go which starts you out as the king of Brittany, just before William heads over to conquer...

Re: Fallout 76

The ability to play on private servers with your friends that is meant to be the main draw. But it's a baffling price, it's not an MMO.

Re: Google Stadia

The latest little snafu with the Stadia launch is that not everyone who pre-ordered will be able to play come launch day as their kit might not have arrived. Google said that hardware would start going out on a first-come first-served basis and they expect to get hardware in everyone's hands within ...

I think it's a bit more positive than that, some really positive reviews out there. I'm looking forward to playing this on Friday.

Re: The Humble Bundle, Weekly & Store Deals Thread

Yep if you pause you will have to pay the new price when you subscribe. The prices look high but it is the only service that allows you to keep the games, if you don't care about owning games then it looks like bad value. I've cancelled once and paused once this year for the first time since the ser...

EGS meant this completely fell off my radar, haven't even bothered watching recent trailers. More than happy to wait for reviews.
I think this is a big part of why people have kind of dismissed it.

Re: The Outer Worlds - PC, PS4, X1, Switch 2019

I haven't really understood the hype for this either. It looks generic as hell. A big part of it is that it is Obsidian doing a game that is similar to Fallout NV. I can understand people being reticent but I don't think it looks generic, there are very few games out there that looks like this does...

Fanatical are running a Flash Sale where they add games to the sale for a limited time every so often. There are some good deals on there including:

Bloodstained £21.86

Old Man's Journey £1.06

Ziggurrat £1.86

Darksiders III £17.99

Shame as it looked like it was going to be a lot of fun. Hopefully they can come back round to it after they complete Baldurs Gate 3.

Re: Blizzard bans Pro Hong Kong protest esports player

There was stuff on Twitter yesterday about how their account cancelling system was stopping people from deleting their accounts. The suspicion was that it was just failing under the load.
