I suppose you'd have to work as intimately within government "at the front line" to appreciate how much is wasted really DJ. Seriously it's disgraceful.
I work in the Houses of Parliament mate, I'm aware that there is waste.

Re: Are they taking the piss !

Income tax is not 33% of your salary on average, nowhere near, you don't get taxed more than 20% until you are earning over £46k. The average salary in the UK is £27k which means on average the population sits in the 20% bracket and £11k of that is tax free. Council Tax, National Insurance and Inco...

Re: Are they taking the piss !

Just on tax compared to other countries, took this from a Guardian article from 2017. A comparison of personal tax rates across Europe, Australia and the US by Guardian Money reveals how average earners in Britain on salaries of £25,000, or “middle-class” individuals on £40,000, enjoy among the lowe...

Re: Are they taking the piss !

sorry but I pay enough tax. If the councils cannot make this work for the people they serve than maybe some of the councillors who are on 6 figure salaries should think about taking a pay cut. We are a pretty low tax society and pay less as a proportion now so I would take issue with anyone who say...

Re: The F1 thread

I doubt they really care about third place in the driver standings. Ensuring they win both titles is what is important to them.

Re: Assassin's Creed Odyssey [PC, PS4, XBone] - October 5th

I paid a smidge over £40 on Uplay using one of their '100 coins for 20% off' codes. I very rarely spend that much on a game, and considering how hard I have fallen for CK2 recently (I finally managed to get my head around it. No, scratch that, I finally managed to understand the very basics) I did ...

Re: Good Old Games - News and Sales

This collection seems pretty generous for the money. £19.39 gets you Kingdom Come Deliverance, Shadow Tactics and Battle Chaser.

I went to pick this up yesterday and in the time it took to click on the item and put it in my basket it had gone up £3. :( I can't bring myself to pay over £40 for a game.

Re: The F1 thread

I think they would have been stupid not to do it. You don't know what is going to happen over the next few races, it only takes one DNF and a win for Vettel to cut the lead in half. It makes complete sense that you ensure your leading driver gets the maximum points if you can.

Re: Pathfinder: Kingmaker - out now

No it isn't, just the main story stuff has VO, I've not minded it too much.

It's very different to DoS 2 so yes it will be rather jarring. It's much more along the lines of a Baldurs Gate game as it is a rule set based very much on DnD.

Re: Pathfinder: Kingmaker - out now

I think the fatigue system isn't balanced properly for a computer game. It might be that it's correctly within the rules of the RPG, but it's not fun in game as you get tired too quickly. Also the walking speed in this is glacial.

Re: Pathfinder: Kingmaker - out now

I've just started as well, but only just got past the character creator. Didn't really know what I was doing as it's so complex so I may have made a terrible Sorcerer. :D I stuck the difficulty on normal, but turned down a few things, like combat damage.
