Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Okey dokey, so that's a non-natural 20 (10 + 6 + 4).

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Did we want to do a bit more of this tonight? Just thinking that if we're playing a proper session tomorrow night, we should probably resolve this first...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Funnily enough I've just watched the first episode and a half over lunch. I broadly agree - it's not great comedy (I did laugh a few times) and it's not great drama so far, but it is enjoyable. I'll stick with it because Greg Daniels never seems to nail his first season (Parks and Rec and the US Of...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Space Force A slightly tricky one this, as it's hard to categorise. I would say that you could either call it a comedy that isn't terribly concerned with being funny, or a drama that doesn't take itself seriously. It puts me in mind of something like the first season of Veep, or that it's a comedy i...

Re: Happy Birthday Sly

Ah, thanks guys :)

I can honestly say there's nothing I would rather have done today than break into a high security vault armed with nothing but a false moustache and a flask of fake sick

Just checking, wasn't sure how long you were deliberating with yourself in the barracks.
There was a lot of discussion, but Slythe's mind moves quick

Has it been an hour yet?
No, it's only been a minute or two in game-world time since you reckoned it had been half an hour.

34 stealth at level 11? Jeez.

That's like Tom Cruise catching his bead of sweat level sneakiness.
Thanks to the Talent I took at the last level up, I effectively have a minimum stealth roll of 24

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

Cool.

So that's a 24 on the deception (12+12), and for the stealth I rolled a 3 and a nat 20 :o (plus modifier of 14 )

I don't foresee any issues with this plan that may impact our attempts to infiltrate the vaults again over the next couple of days.
Slythe is suddenly overcome with a strange sensation of sardonic disapproval as if from afar.

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

On consideration, I think I still prefer my Plan A, as it's less potentially messy. To help me be even sneakier I can cast Reduce on myself, reducing the chance the guard sees me as he comes through the gate.

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes

I have a pretty awful Plan B, in the case of the above. How about I go up to the card players and offer them a tot of my special rum to help pass the night, and use my dragon poison waterskin? With them out of the way I could grab the portcullis guard from behind, knife to throat, and force him to o...
