Here's one you might enjoy, been really digging this lot since I happened across a review of their new album and gave them a spin. Doom metal out of the North of England - not my usual tipple but it is mighty good. Riff heaven!

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Agree. The sheer number of ghosts that you see in the show - faces in mirrors, peering between bannisters, glimpsed in doorways etc, kept my wife and I from relaxing while watching it, partly because it was spooky as hell, partly because we didn't want to miss them. Re: Arty Antics and Similar Stuff

Are you aware of Batterie Mirus which was built on nazi-occupied Guernsey Chris? We went there when I was a kid and toured round a lot of the facilities built during the occupation. I picked up a poster about the occupation which was on my bedroom wall for years and the batterie was at the centre of...

Haha another one that I enjoy with the exception of the vocals. It has that, erm, American extreme metal vocal sound that I just don't gel with at all. I couldn't explain in words what it is I dislike with it, it just doesn't grab me. Shame as the track is a banger otherwise! I know what you mean th...

Just started watching Mr Inbetween on the recommendation of a mate. Australian show about Ray, a divorced guy with a young daughter and a brother in the early stages of motor neurone disease. He works as a doorman at a strip club and is also a hitman. Only a couple of episodes in (each is only 25 mi...
