Re: Steam Bargains

So on Steam currently you can bag all four of the Sniper Elite games for £1.49 the lot. That is a fucking steal - I have had loads of fun with 2, 3 and 4 and really recommend it if you haven't tried them. It gets lambasted for the gratuitous kill-cam but I always liked that, especially when you pull...

Re: Welcome To The New Pub (Plus New Features)

I don't know why, but the forum only occupies a narrow strip of my gargantuan superwide beastie. Suggestions to resolve welcomed :)

Re: New Logo

I kinda like those too - get that alehouse atmosphere going :)

The "Stay awhile" for me immediately conjures up Impossible Mission - a game from waaaay back on the C64:

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Haha I have Dark Tourist on my Netflix list to watch, and am also waiting for all of Better Call Saul to be available before watching. Who decided that drip-feeding shows on Netflix should be a thing, it goes against the whole bloody point of it!

Re: Currently Reading

I am currently reading The Shadow of the High King: The Weaving Shadows Book One by Frank Dorrian . Almost done with it, and the second book queued and waiting on my Kindle - I am absolutely loving it. It is a particularly dark Grimdark fantasy circling around a kingdom run by the Ironbrand, an abso...

Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

OK so this thread is where I have got entirely too many good recommendations for shows, and it must carry over to the new forum, I demand it!

Spam your televisual feastings here, for my delectation.

Re: Yakuza 0

So when I say that I think I like it, I am genuinely being serious :) In games, lengthy unskippable exposition is usually an instant turn-off for me - I forget which MGS title it was (one where you had a camo suit), but the endless fucking waffle combined with stupid boss fights made me give up, for...

Yakuza 0 [PC, PS3, PS4]

So I picked this one up on the back of lots of positive reviews and low price. I loved Sleeping Dogs with a passion and thought another game where you are a badass Yakuza might be fun. What a weird game. It is kinda an RPG interspersed with being a vaguely clunky fighting game, crammed with mini-gam...
