Re: Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - epic RPG out now

Was just about to say similar! 60-something hours in and good grief this a fantastic game. I'm in the thick of Act 3 and the intrigue had me genuinely gripped last night. I went to Areelu's secret lab. Against my better judgement, I took the knowledge from the book. I know it's going to backfire at ...

Re: Deathloop PC

This finally started to click for me yesterday. I have been dipping into it (unfortunately with a fair bit of repetition with the save system) and I was not sure I wasn't going to bounce off it. I liked the premise, the gameplay is good fun, movement feels very fluid indeed with mantling and genera...

Yeah, that was fantastic.

Waffles may be my new favourite D&D character.

Re: The F1 thread

I agree that playing rough is a valid and arguably key part of a championship winner’s mindset. The problem with Verstappen is that he takes that mindset to a level of stubbornness where he’d rather DNF than concede a corner. Hamilton has made similar moves in the past but he seems to have found a m...

Re: Deathloop PC

I take it you can play it without having to resort to fast-paced aiming then? I don't think my PC will handle it well until I upgrade next year and it seems like a no-brainer to buy on PS5, but I'm terrible at playing shooters on a controller. If I can sneak about and do things at a non-twitchy pace...

Re: Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - epic RPG out now

Blimey, I left few stones un-turned in Kingmaker and that took me a mere 90 hours! I'm about 35 hours in, thoroughly enjoying WotR. Too early to say whether I prefer it to Kingmaker but it's at least on a par. Technologically it's far better and far stabler (I've only noticed one bug so far ...

Re: The F1 thread

I get what you’re saying, and Hamilton has not been blameless throughout the year, but in this instance I don’t know what else he could have realistically done. If watch his onboard (before the camera gets taken out), he’s driving right for the grass at the far side and has to begin his turn, but Ma...

Re: The F1 thread

The stupid thing is, if Verstappen had an ounce of patience he could held back and got the job done cleanly on any number of laps down the line. Instead he was spitting fire over his poor pitstop and the red mist descended, yet his pace was good enough to negate the gap by the time Hamilton had stop...

What is it now? 3 deaths (arguably) averted due to the halo?
Easily, probably more.

Watching the replays again, it looks like Hamilton had about half a car width spare on the outside. Even if he'd been on the outside kerb, Verstappen couldn't have gone side by side with him round there.

Re: The F1 thread

Verstappen whinging about space again is flat out embarrassing this time. It's one of the tightest chicanes in F1 and Hamilton gave what little space he could. As with their last incident, what did Max expect was going to happen? Hamilton was going to vanish? Fucking prat, and a dangerous one now, n...

Re: KOTOR Remake

I'm very much interested as it's the only big Star Wars game (from when Star Wars games were good) that I haven't played. If it's a full-on remake like FF7 then it'll likely flesh out a lot of the level design as it won't be hamstrung by the same technical constraints. It's just a shame that I thin...

Calling it a remake perhaps says they will make some wider changes than a normal remaster which I think it needs.
That's what it looks like to me. While a remaster wouldn't be unwelcome given its age, a proper remake is an enticing prospect.

Re: Good Old Games - News and Sales

GOG has more frequent sales than DFS, so it's probably worth waiting for them to drop.
