Re: Max Payne turns 20
It was good though. The engine they ported over from GTA 4 really worked well with the bullet time and ragdoll physics. It was enjoyable, but it wasn't really Max Payne.

Re: General Gaming News
Eurogamer have a piece on it. The response from the upper management was utterly atrocious. And there's a clip from Blizzcon 2010 where a woman asks at the q&a whether they can have some less sexualised female characters and the Blizz panel just laugh at her and make smarmy jokes about what else the...

Re: Dead Space
I love the original game and I think the team who made it were really talented and knew what they were doing, so I was faintly interested in this. But having read the press release coverage by Eurogamer I'm not sure that EA won't butcher it entirely now. Frostbite engine - will raise "the level of h...

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
It's reasonable enough to assume they would be standing close enough together that with an object that size they were all fair game too. Leaves the survivor with a more interesting story to be fair. "So, I met the Unmentionables, they were a bit weird, they went up the tower, money fell from the sky...

Re: Playstation & Sony News/Discussion
It's worth pointing out that PS5 owners who have PS Plus also get access to their new catalogue of Plus classics which include quite a lot of big hitter PS4 games, so even if you subscribe on a month where the rotational offering is pretty poor you will always have the added back catalogue of free t...

Re: Playstation & Sony News/Discussion
If you cancel your sub then all the games in your library obtained through it are locked. If you resubscribe at a later date then you can play them again, the only way you can really lose out on them is if you forget to add them to your library one month and then they get rotated out. I barely play ...

Plans changed due to the wonders of self isolation so I can make Thursday now if that's the preference.

At one point the guy suggested nuking hurricanes before they reached the US mainland.
Just saying.

Re: Steam News & Updates
It is hidden a ways down the page. The top tier model with the highest and fastest storage capacity is pretty expensive too. You're not alone in not appreciating the handheld market Sly, I've tried many times over the years to get into them because there are actually quite a lot of titles that I wan...

Re: Steam News & Updates
It doesn't look particularly comfortable at all. But then they had to get that little thumb track pad in somewhere.
This is quite a cool idea but I'm not sure how practical it will be for playing a lot of PC games that don't have console or handheld friendly UIs.

Re: Company of Heroes 3 [PC] - Out 2022 - Pre-Alpha Demo Now
It tentatively sounds great. But the interview with Eurogamer has me worried as they essentially refused to accept that Dawn of War 3 was a bad game and basically blamed their fans that they didn't understand what it was trying to be before they bought it and all got disappointed. They're also split...
