Re: The Hobbies and Model-Making Thread

Talking to one of my friends today, lamented my brush dilemma.
He casually threw out that my christmas present would be with me tomorrow and I shouldn't buy any new brushes :)

Re: The Hobbies and Model-Making Thread

Don't bin them.
You have two choices.
1 strip them and re-paint them.
2 keep them to remind you of this moment of folly :)

I need new brushes, my detail brushes have gone to shit :(

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Finished season 2 Saturday night. It's nowhere near as good as season 1. It feels rushed. Season one had a free flowing, dudes adventuring in space, coming together and adventuring vibe. Season two lacks that fun factor and feels flatter because of it. Like it's on rails from the get go. Also, prett...

Yoga is the answer for you there.
Simple stretches for a couple of minutes will help with all that stuff.

Also, fireworks can fuck off when your trying to get a little one to sleep.

Venom
The first half is great.
The second half flips the tone and dials the barmy up to 11.

It's never going to win awards, but it's damn good fun.

Spiderman - Far from Home
Meh.
There's a 30 minute episode of really good stuff wrapped in an hour and a quarter of some of the most boring cinema in the entire MCU.

The medication I'm on that gives me weird dreams. This is actually what happened no messing around.
If you don't want to have disturbing dreams avoid morphine.
I shit you not.
Fuck that, take more.
This is the single most entertaining thing I've read all day :)

Peaky Blinders season 5 wrapped up the other day.
What a bland season that turned out to be.

Re: Random Overheard Conversation Snippets

Hardly overheard as it was two lads yelling at each other in the street, quite the heated argument. All came to an end with my favourite threat of all time, lad number one points his finger in lad number two's face and says "I'm going to forget your face", before turning round and stalking off. Only...

Re: Cars

I especially don't miss the insane costs involved with having a car. Call it £1700 on Petrol a year (full tank at £50 will run me roughly a week and a half) £300 insurance £30 tax £30 MOT £200 servicing (which is pretty much optional) And then perishables (tyres, brake pads etc). Would be remarkabl...

Re: Cars

So back in 1997 my parents bought me my first car. A B reg Renault 5. White, 1.1, hilarious (it weighed next to nothing so the engine would happily zip it about). My next car, a couple of years later, was an M reg Renault 5, grey, 1.4, also hilarious. Closely followed by a white, M reg Renault 5 whi...

Yes, it's my first work related bonus since I've worked here. You always hear about people getting £50 here, £100 there, never seen or heard of a 4 figure bonus. I also know I'm not the only one who got one either so this must have been a big win for management. You know what else is worth cheering ...

Black pudding is great if you don't think about what it is. ;) Never eat black pudding on its own, it's awful. Put it *with* something though.....treat it like the ultimate condiment and you'll be just fine. In no particular order Every morning when I go to my daughter's room and she looks up at me...
