Re: General Gaming News
I'm not sure about the disparity between the realistic cars and stylised characters and effects (it's probably something you'd get used to fairly quickly in fairness), but yeah, I agree.

Re: General Film News
I think I'm only part-annoyed that it's not Charles Martinet, who let's not forget is a professional voice actor and could undoubtedly have adjusted the voice to make it more palatable for a big-screen outing while still giving him the ability to make the joyous whoops and exclamations that the char...

Re: D&D Interlude: The Vault of the Lady Fortune
Absolutely. I'll make my notes document public (it's now up to 14 pages, although I think it's largely just recap so probably not all that interesting), but I mostly like to peek behind the curtain to see just how close we came to death or what opportunities we missed. I also want to know everything...

Re: General Film News
We've now had a voiced Mario for 26 years. Replacing Charles Martinet with, well, pretty much any other voice actor was never going to work, but Chris Pratt just feels so utterly generic a choice. I don't particularly like Jack Black as a choice for Bowser either, at least not without some sort of e...

Day 6: Bouquet
I didn't much fancy drawing flowers, so I drew the next most appropriate thing (probably) for a bouquet to consist of.

Re: Aaand, In Other News...
Spot from Boston Dynamics is apparently around $75000, which adjusted for inflation, is probably the (claimed) price of Mortis from early series of Robot Wars. Just stick a chainsaw on the arm, or something.

Re: Celebs are still dropping off....
I knew him as someone that cropped up fairly regularly in art tutorials from the likes of Proko, and he really was ridiculously talented.

Day 5: Flame https://i.imgur.com/XSHJNwJ.jpg I sorta hate this one, but frankly I've had 12 hours sleep in four days, which isn't exactly ideal for creativity. I wanted to go for a highly stylised, sorta low-poly look, but the insomnia kinda kicked my arse and I just didn't have the energy to do it ...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
I've had a pretty much opposite reaction to The Orville; I tolerated the poor attempts at humour in the first couple of years as the show underneath was pretty decent, and really appreciated them dropping the vast majority of it for the third. I do agree on the gratuitous space battles though; clear...

Day 4: Scallop. https://i.imgur.com/T8jYr9f.jpg I wasn't really sure where to go with this one as Scallop doesn't really have much in the way of alternate meaning. Then I looked up what a Scallop actually looks like and they're the most Mimic-looking creatures I've ever seen (seriously, google Bay S...

Day 3: Bat. https://i.imgur.com/UEpuwEh.jpg God damn I'm witty. I'm blaming this one on a slightly frustrating day at work and having been awake since half three this morning, as my body is wont to do. I Just did not have any good ideas for finishing the piece once I'd drawn the subject, or at least...

Yup, good. That dragon has been hanging in the air for two weeks and I would quite like to take a shot at it please.
