Re: The Watch
Yeah, of the 4 episodes I saw I really didn't interpret things the same way you did WB, but whatever. I already had a problem with the stilted acting and poorly-written dialogue regardless, so I don't think it's the show for me. I'm with you on Witcher S2. It was alright, not as good as S1, but like...
Re: The Watch
I stopped watching Rings of Power after about 4 episodes. None of it made any sense in relation to Tolkien's work. They ended up making a random poorly-written fantasy show and seemingly plastered some names from the books onto the characters. Just don't understand it, they had this almighty opportu...

Well.. better than it being delayed I guess?
Which is the usual thing with Openreach.

Re: World Cup 2022
It feels so weird. There's actually a World Cup going on right now but you wouldn't know it.
Only just realised England are playing in a few hours.

Re: The Room 102 thread - for things you love or just having a bloody good praise!
I watched one of your Vampire game (I forget the full name of it) Youtube playthroughs Sly, you've definitely got a good way of speaking for this sort of thing. Might be an interesting opportunity there for you to expand the channel and really develop it. I'm a bit of a mumbler myself, so it would n...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
For me, it hit its stride in S3 + 4.
S5 is weak, and the first 2 seasons I could see being a tad impenetrable for some. The subject matter can all be a bit depressing at times - I've never actually rewatched the show, despite its quality.

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
Yep, I felt the Other Guys was really decent. Packed full of great scenes and Wahlberg works surprisingly well. Infinitely prefer him in this than any of those po-faced serious films he's in. Ferrel plays a bit of a plain character, apart from the pimp flashback, but maybe that's actually a good thi...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
Although I don't think it's a bad film - it's really well-shot and on a second watch it all comes together slightly better - it is the first Nolan film where I've thought he really needed a co-writer to help him reign it in and keep the story more focused. I've always loved Inception because it's so...

Re: Indie Game News/Releases
I might just dip back into this and have another playthrough.
I never played Starbound, I've heard mixed things about that.

Re: Ukraine
There's talk of a million at least being drafted in all likelihood. I'm guessing they want to just pile them all in and make it impossibly attritional for the Ukrainian army to keep the Donbas and maybe even Kherson. The bodies will counteract the better trained UA. I still don't personally see him ...

Hmm, that's strange. Perhaps go into your board preferences and switch out to another theme, clear the cache, restart the browser and see if it sticks. Then switch back again to the original theme?

Re: The Room 102 thread - for things you love or just having a bloody good praise!
I do much prefer the moderate/cool temperatures in the UK than the hot stuff. This last week or two has been so pleasant compared to the previous 2 months. It's just nice to be able to decide how warm I want to be! When it's 25C+ you're fucked and there's nothing really you can do about it, homes ju...

Anno 1800 is absolutely brilliant. Definitely the best one they've made since 1404. It might be the best one they've ever made.

Re: Long Live the King?
RIP QE2. :( She was pretty much flawless in her reign and was a great neutral presence to countless events. She was part of the UK, and world history. I'm feeling a bit emotional about it. I've never been one for getting too opinionated about the Royal Family - I think there are definite benefits to...
