Re: The Absolute State Of It - It's The UK Politics Thread!
This is just so so wrong. That graph is the wrong way up. I'm 50 next year and it's true what said about becoming more conservative as you get older but this isn't anything to do with being conservative, it's blatantly inhumane. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-63012345 Looking at the middle of...

Mine's accepted it as a bank holiday which we all get on top of holiday allowance. I might burn some car tyres to show my respect.

Re: Why Can't I find any enjoyment in Cyberpunk 2077?
I wouldn’t claim Cyberpunk is one of the greatest games ever made, but I don’t think Deus Ex is anymore either. It’s one of the most important games ever, certainly, but the actual experience of playing it these days is not as great as it used to feel. The story is good but wearily dated now, where...

Re: General Gaming News
The terrain / cover mechanics are potentially game-changing, it depends on how extensively they're used. I think Homeworld 2 had some very basic terrain mechanics (nebulae or other gas clouds I think that obscured your probes) and they were certainly a point of interest, but they weren't used frequ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixrNy6f0WZg I had entirely forgotten that Homeworld 3 was in development, but I'm quite excited having seen that. Homeworld has I think one of the most memorable aural and visual styles which seems to be entirely intact in the new one, and now there's proper space te...

Alita: Battle Angel This is certainly an... interesting looking film. I know this is a manga / anime adaptation, and it's not a series I'm familiar with, but mixing one CGI character with anime-sized eyes with humans played by real actors was such a strange choice. I don't *dislike* Alita's aesthet...

Outriders
A vaguely interesting story that was dragged out too long with enjoyable thumpy mechanics. Suffers from ridiculous bullet sponge bads and after doing my first exhibition last night I think the endgame is just perma grind, whihc is a shame.
Still, it was on Gamepass so can't really grumble.

I'm assuming this scales the difficulty when playing in a group? I'm at the last (please god I hope so) bit of the campaign as a Technomancer and I'm at level 30 and World Difficulty 15. I wouldn't say I'm breezing at this point but I seem to have all the right tools to handle all the situations I'm...

Re: General Film News
This actually looks quite entertaining and I have ahuge soft spot for Chris Pine too, ever since Smokin' Aces. I think I'd call this the Guardians of the Galaxy/Thor:Ragnarok effect where they deliberatly try to subvert the seriousness of something and it (hopefully) becomes the greater than the sum...

In my office at home it's currently 32 degrees atm, it was 31 at 0925 this morning. I'm lucky in that I quite like the heat even if I'd rather not be working in it and also that the ground floor of my house is a chill 24 degrees atm. Last might was a tough nights sleep though and I'm expecting tonig...

What an absolute shower the Tory candidates are. Modern politics - when did it go so wrong?
