Avatar - Frontiers of Pandora

After a fine delivered curry and a few glasses of wine the other night, I was feeling quite mellow and looking at my Xmas holiday stretching off ahead, and decided to get a cheap CD key for the new Avatar game. I had liked the idea of playing as a Na'vi in that world from the outset, and while the r...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Just watched "the bag"😂 "you need help mate". Ray just has the best lines. He delivers them so deadpan, but always says exactly what the viewer is thinking  Mr in-between was fab. He is really unlucky in life. If anything can happen it will. Pleased to have recommended it. A mate suggested it ...

Re: TGA Ghosts - co-op goodness for all

I will continue to hold out hope for the new TDU title, although it now has to beat the Forza series. Also, I wish they hadn't used that pug-ugly new bloody Corvette in the video

How they overcame the urge to hoof her into the harbour - well they have more self control than I would have done!

Re: The gig thread

Went to see Lindemann for the second time last night at Wembley arena. Hopefully this time seeing the band won't herald 2 years of lockdown (they were the last gig I saw days before lockdown came into force back in 2020)! Well - while a lot of the onstage antics were the same as the first time, this...

Just finished it - absolutely brilliant start to finish.

Re: General Gaming News

I did enjoy Primal, it was a brave departure from the usual guns'n'goons Far Cry experience. I am interested to play this, I have been waiting on seeing the reviews drop as I felt it could be something special, but it sounds like I would have to hunt out enjoyment from it. For me, RDR2 is the marker...

Re: Moving Pictures

I doubt it will ever see the light of day here, simply because it seems designed to slice pedestrians into their component parts and will fail all the EU safety checks. No bad thing, it is fugly beyond belief. Amazing that they managed to turn the insane demands of Elton Spunk into a reality, but ho...

Awww I thought we were getting a new Ghost Recon title for a moment there.

Does look nice though.

Re: General Gaming News

Sounds like it has been dished up before it finished cooking...

Shame, I had hoped this would be a good one. I have only watched the first film, and only once, but thought it would make a good game transition. If it is just Far Cry by the numbers then it will be a sale acquisition at best.

Re: General Gaming News

Looks good, but then there's not enough to go on to see whether the thing I disliked most about GTA 5 (the painfully obvious, crass humour) has gone. Doubt it very much. This whole ‘not coming to PC’ stance Rockstar have can fuck off tbh. Means we won’t see it for years, so it is irrelevant news to...

Re: Starfield has a release date

I'm not sure where to star with Star Citizen, a game that has been in development for 11 years at this point and to many is just a straight long con. Even if I believed that Star Citizen was bug free as it is now and was ever going to come out, I think first and foremost it is going along the same ...

Re: Starfield has a release date

My experience with Star Citizen has also been a little rocky to start with, but with some real positives. Not knowing anything really, I picked the game up and started playing. The tutorial section didn't teach me a huge amount, but did let me do the same as Chris in leaving the planet and going to ...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

Just started watching Mr Inbetween on the recommendation of a mate. Australian show about Ray, a divorced guy with a young daughter and a brother in the early stages of motor neurone disease. He works as a doorman at a strip club and is also a hitman. Only a couple of episodes in (each is only 25 m...
