Graphics and Performance modes, "bug fixes"(that should be a laugh) and additional content. Been so many years since I've played it, will be like getting a new game. Man, ...

Re: How's this look - shopping for new desktop gaming PC
Wow, thanks for all that! I'll definitely look into this. I've never built a PC before, no, and it would be 95% gaming and hopefully future-proof for a bit, at least. I'm wanting to run STALKER 2 on full blast, hopefully they'll be able to finish the game

Re: How's this look - shopping for new desktop gaming PC
Would you not be better holding fire for a month or two what with the new chips out and ddr5 being a thing if you want future proofing. Plus with the new cards dropping you might get a better deal on a 30 series card. :-k I’ve been thinking about a new machine myself but I think I’m going to hold o...

Re: How's this look - shopping for new desktop gaming PC
Another quick, silly question: Is the difference between a 3080 RTX and a 3090 RTX worth $800? It's two different manufacturers, and the 3080 setup has the 2TB HD that isn't present on the comparison system, though this one's SSD is "1TB PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe solid-state drive" so seems like an upgrade ...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
The Poseidon Adventure 1972 Back in the 80's if you turned on the tv on a weekend afternoon either Zulu, The Great Escape or this was almost guaranteed to be on somewhere. I've probably seen it several times in the past but remember barely anything about the film. It's your typical 1970's disaster ...

Re: How's this look - shopping for new desktop gaming PC
My only real comment is that I wouldn't bother with a magnetic drive anymore; I'd never install any software on one. I'd honestly rather have an extra 1tb SSD than a 2tb HDD. Maybe make sure the motherboard has extra slots for additional NVME drives. I don't think a 1tb main drive is enough storage...

How's this look - shopping for new desktop gaming PC
Okay, my last desktop was an HP Omen, and it has been serving me well for the last five+ years. I'm looking at this one now, and want to ask a couple questions :) First, any particular critiques for this configuration? (Also, looks like I can get about $250 off that price if I get a brand-new but op...

Re: Ukraine
All quite logical amounts of reasoning happening there, indeed. But unhinged dictators tend not to be strictly logical, especially when their power/manhood/whatever is being challenged. I don't need to prattle on about this obvious point. I just hope that some of these lessons learned won't be forgo...

Oh they will be snatching fellas off the streets, from the doctor's offices, wherever. I cannot predict at all where this is headed, and I fear it will spill into the world in ways that will make this become the most infamous of times

First, I applaud you sincerely for the efforts to stop or disrupt the hunts. Abhorrent in every sense. Second, that's one hell of a story to tell! It could only be better if you'd gotten a scar on your cheek, ha ha

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
I quite liked it but only because it was better than the last three or four seasons of Game of Thrones, which isn't saying much. I'm not expecting great TV from it at all, but as a little look into a world which I like much of the lore of it is a nice distraction for an hour. They've done well cons...
