Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange

That photo of Musk giving the Nazi salute from the podium is going to be something we see in history books in years to come. He knew full well what he was doing when he did it twice in a row. I don't think people quite understand the significance of such a symbolic gesture at a presidential inaugura...

Re: Trump: Impeach is the new Orange

A lot of the absolute worst case scenario stuff people are getting worked up about would massively diminish America's standing as the global hegemon and hugely destabilize the world economy, invading allied NATO states basically on a whim is full on insanity. Hopefully someone with some sense of pre...

Re: Your favourite stuff of 2024

I did love Helldivers 2 initially, it had a good sense of fun and challenge, and was a good laugh with friends. It made you simultaneously feel like a badass, yet vulnerable. But then a pattern started to emerge; they started to ruin the power fantasy, and it was all down to one particular enemy - ...

Re: Your favourite stuff of 2024

Helldivers 2 takes the win for me too. Absolutely brilliant game that really recaptured my love for online co-op. It's an outstanding game even with randoms, but a full party of friends just elevates it to the next level. Such a well made game, and the way they've kept the online service element go...

Sony did that with the XM4 to XM5 update. Took an absolutely perfect set of headphones which were only getting better sound-wise and made them look absolutely awful and flimsy.

Re: General TV News

The Warhammer one is pretty much just murder from start to finish. It is very slick animation though, very fun to watch. I feel like this isn't really as strong as the Love, Death and Robots series, which I absolutely loved. It seems to be in an awkward place where the episodes aren't long enough fo...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

That's the one. From the limited skim I've had it doesn't appear that there are any real production sketches or anything like that. A lot of it is written from the perspective of Jinx as if she's collated pictures of people together so there's graffiti over them and things like that, but there are a...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series

The still frames don't even do it justice. It is just staggeringly beautiful in motion, particular the action sequences with all the extra fun animation styles thrown in. No, they don't. I thought about posting a link to the fight between Sevika and Smeech, as it's probably the most visually impres...

I loved it so much but do feel like that second season was quite rushed. Where the first season gave everything time to build up,...

Absolutely. A quick browse through numerous reddit threads, Twitter, Facebook and news site comment sections will tell you that a lot of people regard the shooter as a bit of a hero.

Re: Aaand, In Other News...

I wonder if they throw this amount of resources at all the other shootings that occur in New York. It seems there's quite the manhunt underway for this guy.
