Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
Pros and cons. Is it worth you sacrificing your action in order to prevent one of your teammates using their actions to potentially do something which may harm the party? Seems like a good trade off to me. Also requiring a full action to allow a save to break the charm when the rules as written don'...

Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
Making it so a player character has to use the Help action to snap someone out of it makes sense. I can't imagine that one of us would easily be snapped out of a charm trance if a skeleton was shaking/slapping us or Fauxpus was nibbling our knees. It feels like it would require someone with more of ...

Re: AI Music - aka maannnn fuck this shit :(
It's quite nasty when you think about it. What incentive do platforms have to host real artists who they may have to pay royalties to when you can just upload a ton of AI created tracks and reap all the revenue for yourselves.

Re: Server Renewal and Fate of the Forum
Well that settles that then, I think there's enough consensus to keep the place running. Our hosts are being rather tight about giving me any kind of customer loyalty discount on our renewal so I may shop around and it might be that at the end of the month the forum goes down for a period whilst we ...

Server Renewal and Fate of the Forum
Hi all, we're coming up to the end of my paid up subscription term for the current hosting provider so renewal is on the horizon. I thought this would make a good opportunity to discuss where we're at after 6 years in the new digs. The forum is ticking over at a quietly steady rate, we only really s...

Re: The Room 101 thread - for things you hate or just having a bloody good moan
It certainly ups maintenance costs when the stuff does pack in. Digital door handles seems like a really bad idea just from a safety point of view to me. Doesn't seem that unlikely that in the event of an accident the system would fail and you wouldn't be able to get out of the car. I really hate th...

Nice. Sounds like an interesting mixture of their more recent classic prog sound with added growls.

He was on the Sky coverage for a little bit on election night before he found out he'd lost his seat. Absolute insufferable prick.

Re: The Absolute State Of It - It's The UK Politics Thread!
I would love to be able to vote Green but even knowing that it's a protest vote which will mean nothing to the two horse race in my constituency I still couldn't bring myself to. They are just too absolutely insane. A whole bunch of their policy ideas range from completely head in the clouds mindset...

That said, this is amazing and I hate that I like it.

That first one almost sounds like Russell Allen from Symphony X.

Re: Elden Ring
There are some very strong magic builds where the extent of your spellcasting is just loading yourself up with buffs before charging into melee. It doesn't really feel like playing a mage really but it gives you some build variety at least.
