Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
Although I'm only about 10 episodes into Atlantis you can see it does seem to rely on McKay for everything be it comic relief or exposition. Yeah Teyla isn't exactly setting the screen on fire with her performance, not sure if it's the actor or just dull writing, she's no Teal'c.

The cynic in me says that all that shit has a short operating life and you'll need to replace your car more often once it stops working. You'll also need to go to a specialist garage to get it repaired/maintained.

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws
The interaction was more interesting than the gameplay. Is there a deliberate reluctance to show the open worldness of it? The one thing Ubi does well is vast open areas full of varying quality of shit to do.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
Stargate Atlantis I've been ploughing through Stargate SG1 for a while now and hit season 9. It's basically a comedy show with sci-fi shit going on in the background. The episode where multiple SG1 teams start showing up is great, a room full of Carter's all chatting together  I assumed that A...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
Deadpool & Wolverine Saw this the other day and it's very, very funny from start to finish. Of the 3 films it is the weakest but that's not a put down by any means. My one criticism is that there are too many references and in jokes, the film probably won't age well because of it. Apart from that p...

Re: Star Wars: Outlaws
I looks fine, just not something I'd spend any money on. Hopefully comes to Game Pass after a short while.

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
Fight Club I was listening to a podcast about films that bombed at the box office and never knew this was a commercial flop. First saw this in the cinema 25(!) years ago and was blown away, had never seen anything like it. Was probably in my top 10 for many years. Rewatched it yesterday for the fir...

That last brick was deliberate I'm sure
I read somewhere that one of the police dogs got bitten by a protester as well. Fucking savages.

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
Yeah that was me (and Snowy I think). Finished The Boys S4 and really enjoyed it and well. Silly, gory and ridiculous fun was had. The not even thinly veiled parody of American politics and right wing media would be hilarious if it didn't feel so real. The "how do we resolve this characters story ar...

I'm not surprised, the wax museum in Dublin is notorious for its hilariously shit exhibits.

Re: General Film News
I'm still not sure what to make of that. It looks like it might be great but the "musical" element is a bit off putting for me at the same time. Loved the first film but never re-watched it after seeing it in the cinema for some reason.
