Re: General TV News
Rick has a new car! Summer does a Die Hard! Jerry is useful!
I love how... dense trailers for Rick and Morty are.

I still think you should have slowly morphed your forum avatar into a photo of yourself and see if anyone noticed.

Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
I think they were implying that existing 5E content would be OneD&D compatible, I don't think they meant that new material would work on the old system. The 3D tabletop is certainly the part that's intrigued me the most about this. I think certain things like lighting are probably going to be simple...

Re: Moving Pictures
I love these inserting TV/film characters into games things.

Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
I'm sticking this in here as I guess it's more likely to be relevant to this campaign than Mantis', although obviously I'm not expecting us to change systems halfway through a campaign, but it's going to directly affect D&D Beyond eventually. Wizards of the Coast just announced the next edition of D...

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
Same. I'm tempted to watch both as a double-header, but given how this series usually goes I suspect that might be a bit heavy (I think they'd be over two hours between them). I've actually been slightly disappointed in some of the episodes following the hiatus; they're of the usual high quality of ...

Re: The Room 102 thread - for things you love or just having a bloody good praise!
Having moved house last year in that week-long heatwave we had in August, I feel your pain. Being forced to build a sofa and move a double mattress by yourself when it's 30 degrees, lest you have nothing to sit or sleep on, isn't a lot of fun.

Re: TGA Ghosts - co-op goodness for all
So I had a bit of a wander around the first couple of areas in DC hoovering up the SHD tokens and unlocked a bunch of things. Most notably I now have the sniper variant of the turret which is just an absolute delight when you're out exploring the city by yourself. Stick it up somewhere high and it'l...

Re: TGA Ghosts - co-op goodness for all
Yeah, that's the problem. They've worked out that they've got customers on both sides of the aisle and on both sides of the gun debate, and they refuse to come down on either side in case they lose those customers. That wouldn't be as big a problem (even if my personal beliefs suggest they *really* ...

Re: TGA Ghosts - co-op goodness for all
I suppose that's always going to be the downside of co-op games with a story; it's difficult to get invested when you've got other people chatting during pivotal moments. Sorry if I ruined the atmosphere of that bit, but to be honest it felt like it could have been so much more interesting - I reali...

Re: TGA Ghosts - co-op goodness for all
It's good to be having some regular co-op again, and these looter shooters we've been playing recently are perfect fodder for it. You get to revel in your fellow players new loot, and then curse them with the same breath because you didn't get anything. The Division 2 is, in my opinion, really quite...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
I probably could have worded that last sentence better. I really enjoyed the first two John Wick films (haven't seen the third yet), and Mad Max Fury Road, which I think most would consider a gratuitous action film too, is still probably my favourite of the genre. But those had.... craft? John Wick ...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
That's definitely been a factor with a number of other films I've watched in the last few years - movies that rely on spectacle really need something else to grab you if you watch them a while after release, but I don't think it's the case here. I think with Predator and others of its ilk, it's just...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
And Prey also. I have a hard time believing I'll prefer it to the original which I think is great, but happy to accept it's at least the second best film in the franchise (low bar tbf ) I'm not expecting many to share my opinion, I know the original is held in pretty high esteem, but I think m...

Re: I Just Watched (Films)
Prey I prefer this to the original Predator. Let's just get that out of the way. I've mentioned on here a few times that I'm not a massive fan of the Predator franchise. I like the Yautja as a piece of character design, but the films just never grabbed me. They rely on the mystery of the Predator i...
