Re: Currently Playing

Been enjoying GW2, and also re-installed Last Light which I will try and break into at some point. Really enjoying GW2 as well, nice to just bimble around. Plenty of things to keep you occupied, so you just drift from thing to thing, be it working out how to reach a vista, taking part in world event...

Re: Fallout 76

You know what this is, right? Karma, which has been snowballing for Bethesda as payback for horse armour DLC back in the day.

Re: Avengers 4 Endgame

Wasn't aware of that Dave, that's a shame. I really enjoyed Jessica Jones S1, Punisher S1 and Daredevil S1, and Luke Cage I thought was OK. Daredevil S3 was disappointing for me personally, not yet watched the new season of Punisher, and I reserve my deepest loathing for Iron Fist

Re: Snow day!

Sadly for me it is "Fuck, snow". Am supposed to be taking my car to Ford today for service, MOT and a new cambelt, but no way am I going anywhere with the roads like this. My ST is tuned, and I know from previous experience that the second the turbo spools up, any kind of ability to drive in snow va...

Re: The gig thread

So Mastodon were fucking incredible as usual, as were Kverletak who supported. Been a fan of theirs for a good few years now and this was the first time I saw them - they did not disappoint. Have their whole set :) https://youtu.be/L1J9I2afkow And Mastodon's: https://youtu.be/HLkrfAeyoTs Bagged tick...

Re: Metro Exodus [PC, PS4, XBone] - 15th Feb 2019

The 'cheaper' argument depends greatly on where in the world you are. The RPS article referenced an Indian user who contacted them: "One RPS reader from India claimed to us yesterday that Metro on the Epic store would cost them $50+$30 tax, whereas they would have been able to get it for an amazing ...

Re: Daily forum quiz thread

LOL So I scored 9 in 71 seconds, but it should have been 10. The question that had the answer about landing in a pool of sharks and sea-wasps made me laugh so hard I highlighted it to copy and paste here (which didn't work), not realising that in doing so it chose that as my answer over the correct ...

Steam has been awful for years, I really hope all this poaching on their monopoly kicks them into gear to start sorting their storefront out.
This 100% - Steam is fucking awful these days - seems every change they make is for the worst.

Brain-wracking and guesswork. That was a bastard, some I knew but really had to think to remember, but there was a fair chunk of pure guess fu too.

Re: Avengers 4 Endgame

The films (for me personally anyhow) also fall into the category of just too much mindless action sequence after action sequence, CGI'd to the bollocks, with not enough story. They just aren't for me. I won't even go near the Thor and Loki shite. Being interested in Norse history and mythology from ...

Re: Avengers 4 Endgame

I loved comic books as a kid, but never really had any time for the Avengers. Captain America had a shield ffs, that wasn't cool then and still isn't. Hulk is a pretty dull character, and the others I never really read. I liked Daredevil, Punisher, Spiderman, Batman, the Fantastic 4, X-Men etc when ...

Re: Cuppa tea love?

For me it needs to be robust and only have a spot of milk, if any. Sugar is likewise off the menu completely. I go for Assam or blends advertised as strong (although I do love a cup of Earl Grey too), then add boiling water slowly so as not to inflate the bag with air, and let it steep for 2 minutes...
