At the moments its primary use is distracting the children with Minecraft and watching the footy :)

Get Battlefield 5 so I can have someone to moan about it to (sad sigh)...

Picked up a pair of these bad boys on a whim at the airport after having read a few reviews. They are truly excellent. Some of the best noise cancelling headphones I've ever used, and so comfy. The sound quality is super punchy too.

Bizarrely so did I, also at an airport on a gently alcohol-fuelled whim. They are fucking awesome aren't they?

The best thing is that they were twenty quid cheaper than what Amazon are currently doing them for. I walked out thinking that I'd just been stupid for letting myself pay airport prices and being diddled but was very happy to find I was quids in.

They are so comfy it almost feelings like I'm not even wearing anything. I ran them through some different genres last night and the bass on some tracks, when I cranked the volume, was like having a subwoofer in my head, very intense.

The noise cancelling worked wonders on the plane too.

I've been using a pair for a couple of months and they really are amazing. I love the fact that they still operate with noise cancellation if you plug them in via a cable too. They're the best sounding pair of headphones I've ever used even without the bells and whistles, despite being wireless.

Sounds nice, maybe I'll check them out the store page and see... Jesus Christ!

Maybe one day.

How much? I'm not going to hunt the web to find out what model they are. I'm happy enough with my own expensive but totally worth it headphones :P

RRP was 330, currently 270 on Amazon and 250 if you feel like checking in through Stansted airport departures. :P

Nice. I've got a pair of Nuraphones which I picked up about a year ago now for £280. Great bit of kit.

They're absolutely fantastic. I tested them out at a launch party they had in London last year and listened to a couple of bits of music I like; I could hear parts of the underlying structure I'd never heard before - it was just mindblowing.

Definitely not for me, I hate my ear being violated.

While on the subject, anyone happen to know/recommend any MASSIVE earup headphones. DT990's are getting there but I want a big velour pad that doesnt touch any part of my big lugs. Preferably open, never a big fan of closed back.

They're not cheap, no, but the ability to put them on and instantly have peace and quiet regardless of the environment you're in is, in my opinion, worth it. They have fantastic battery life too; I think I've charged mine three times (if you include the initial charge) since late July, with about an hour of listening every day. The terrible Samsung wireless earbuds these replaced (that were only a little cheaper but one of the worst tech products I've ever bought) had a battery life you could measure in hours, not weeks.

I have to agree that a good pair of noise cancelling headphones can be world changing, especially if you have to travel long haul often.

A few years ago i was doing a LOT of travel and grabbed a pair of Bose AC25's. Still use them today, still think they're absolutely fantastic.
